Landon felt a little weird about leaving the library, but Mr. Morgan was fine with it. It had been locked for hours anyway. Still, he hadn't wandered too deep into the park. As if he stayed where he could see the city streets, the library itself would be safe. Ignoring that he'd walked a bit to get there in the first place.

He'd limited himself to a single drink, not wanting to do too much right away, and had nursed it for most of the night so far. But all of his worries were forgotten when the bright lights lit up the sky, shimmering and popping as if they were close enough to touch.
