Who: Dan and Rachel When: Sunday (FORWARD DATING FTW!) Where: TEXAS HQ WOO! What: Dan's homecoming! Status: in progress.
He was done. He was finally free of the clinic that he had been working at down in Texas. It had taken far longer than he would have liked for it to take to get everything figured out and worked out satisfactorily too. Part of him was sure that they had been trying to keep him there, but that had not been happening. Dan traveled where the pack went and that meant that even if the job had been great in all ways it had to be left behind. Besides, it wasn't like Dan didn't find another job in Colorado. He already had it all lined up. He was organized like that and had always been a planner, to a certain extent. He'd manage to find work no matter where it was that he was. It wasn't like he didn't have marketable skills. He was also professional and good at what he did, so...he felt pretty good about his possibilities should they have to move again. That was beside the point, though.
To Dan it seemed like their current home, if one could call it that, wasn't so bad. It would work for the moment. He had no idea if Trey had plans of staying there, though. He was a bit behind in what was happening and going on. He was sure that someone would catch him up on what he'd missed when he got back. Most of him was focused on how nice it'd be to be with the pack again. He didn't like the fact that back in Texas he'd been staying in a motel. It'd been creepy. Yes, creepy, and he was allowed to think that even though he was a man. He was a people person and he preferred to be around them. He'd spent his whole life with a pack surrounding him, so being alone in a motel room could be a bit unnerving, honestly, for even the manliest of men.
The location that the pack had settled on was burnt into Dan's mind. He wasn't the forgetful type, so it had been a piece of cake to make his way back there. Dan's automatic inclination was to head for the office at the run down motel. Sure, it was a motel like he'd been staying in, but here he wasn't alone, which was a big plus. There were pack members here. He had no clue who'd be in the office, or maybe he just wasn't thinking it through, but that's where he headed, his things still in the car. He knocked on the office door before he walked in, speaking before he even saw the person that was in the office, "I finally got things settled at the clinic. I think they were trying to kidnap me or something, but I'm free. And back."
