Dan...did not like all of the stuff that had gone on while he was gone. Truth be told, if he had known he probably would have dropped everything and come right back here if he had known, and he probably would have gotten sued too, but he really didn't care about that part. That clinic had given him the run around, anyway. Dan shrugged the apology off, though, looking at her. "It's not your fault....things were busy you couldn't help it." He pointed out. "And it wouldn't be your job to keep me updated, anyway." He pointed out, giving her a small smile. "At least I know now, right?" He didn't like it when the ladies felt bad, and he didn't want Rachel feeling bad for telling him what was going on either.
Dan was just a strange guy, when it all boiled down. Part of it had been the way he was raised and part of it was his awkwardness. Either way. "Really? Wow.... changes in Alpha are serious business." Dan pointed out, wondering what exactly what's his face had done to warrant that kind of change in leadership.
Dan looked up at Rachel, feeling a bit uncertain about the decision to stay. Maybe they couldn't run from the hunters forever, but did they have to stay in a heavy werewolf populated area that hunters were obviously going to be attracted to? No they didn't. But Dan wasn't an Alpha....nor was he particularly high in the chain of command here. HE could also see that running would just make the hunters think they were winning...and that they were afraid. They couldn't run in fear every time something bad happened. "Oh." Dan said, nodding a little bit. "I liked Texas." He added on lamely before tilting his head. "Are there any precautions in place right now? Anything I can do to help now that I'm back...if you know...I mean maybe I should talk to trey about that, actually, sorry."
