It felt like he'd been separated from the pack for ages. Really, for him being so used to the pack life he had been gone for ages, a lot could happen while one was gone. He could only wonder what all had happened while he'd been stuck down in Texas. The sight of Rachel's smile dimming, well, it had the man wondering. Had he done something wrong? Or was it something he said? Or had something happened that was bad? He really hoped it wasn't that last one because he cared about the entire pack, so the idea of something awful or anything, really, happening while he'd been gone sucked majorly.
Dan was not sure if he wanted to know what happened, but he was not one to run away from things. Well, he had in the past, but it had been the best choice tactically. He hadn't been running, he had been retreating for the better, if his father had listened. That was besides the point.
"Sit down...oh, okay, sure, I can sit down." He said, moving automatically to do so. He did his best to do so smoothly, but it was a clumsy move and he practically plopped into the seat, looking up at her as she mentioned coffee. Part of him wanted to ask if she had lids for that. He didn't want to spill it all over himself...y'know because coffee gave him the jitters, not because women made him trip over himself, yeah. "Coffee'd be great, thanks. For the coffee that is." He said, watching her a moment and lifting his hand up to adjust his glasses. "So....what did I miss?"
