She thought she'd start with the worst and gave Dan a gentle look of concern as she leaned her hip on the edge of her desk. The resulting flinch was resisted and she shifted so that she was more sitting on the desk than leaning.
"Theo's gone, Dan." Her voice held the sadness that she felt for that. It was echoed in her expression and eyes. "This past moon. It was a hunter's trap. They rigged it with some sort of liquid silver." She wasn't going to give any further details than that. It had been too much for her to think about when she first heard, she didn't want to try now.
