Dan didn't really want to calm down. It was just like his original pack all over again. Were the people he had grown to care about going to end up dead just like before? He sure as hell hoped not. Trey was smarter than that....Dan was pretty sure of that fact, he wouldn't put the pack in danger just to get revenge or make a point. Sure, part of Dan thought that the hunters that had hurt Theo, and the lost pack members in Texas, and even the ones that had killed his mother and sister....they deserved to die and pay for what they'd done, but revenge didn't get you very far in the end, did it? "I'm calm....kinda." Dan said, looking up at Rachel, his awkwardness managing to subside for the moment. "I wish I'd gotten back sooner." Though what could he have done, really? He wasn't the greatest fighter, sure he was good with tactics and he tried to help, but what could he have done, really.
Dan blinked owlishly at what she added on. "Damn." And a second after he said it he realized he'd cursed in front of a lady, "Sorry! I didn't mean, I just....yeah, that's bad...." He corrected as he brought his hands up, rubbing his eyes under his glasses. "I always hated politics." Dan tacked onto that, and it was damn true too. He'd always hated it, but he'd played, as had his dad.
The second the name Beau was said, though, the hairs on the back of Dan's neck stood up. "You're serious? Are we staying here?" Dan was in a state of information overload about now.
