So, on one hand, whoever ran this restaurant before apparently enjoyed a lot of insubordination from his kitchen, so I feel perfectly justified in firing the entire lot of them.
On the other hand... doing it right before the dinner seating might not have been my smartest move.
Granted, I can run a dinner shift by myself, but... still not so smart.
Looks like I've got to hire a whole new kitchen. |

Anyone wanna help their favorite merc with a mouth? My belt transporter thingydoodle kinda tried to kill me yesterday. There was an explosion, some burns that will go unmentioned, and good amount of curses thrown around. The point that I'm tryin' t'make is...Weaz isn't around for me to coerece into doin' stuff anymore. He mighta stole my cheesy puffs but the little guy was good with technology.
So, any takers? C'mon, I know it's everyone's dream to work with ol' Pool. I provide endless hours of entertainment, I shoot things, I cry, I live. What more do ya want? And uh, if you take the job, I'll throw in a free poster of Bea Arthur. That oughta do it. |

Hard to believe I'll be heading to university soon..just one more term.
I've been looking into taking psychology or something as a major..possibly become a social worker when I finish-not entirely sure. |

I have fresh fruit. Fresh fruit that I didn't have to pay a small fortune for.
How the human race goes from readily available produce to outgrowing a whole planet in just a few hundred years is beyond me. I've been trying to wrap my brain around it and I simply can't.

Elphie, have you ever tried 'caffee'? It's a drink, like... well, kind of like tea, but not, and it's got sugars and flavors and something and it is just amazing, you need to try it. Go to the place with the fishwife on the sign, they have the best! |

So Mr. Crowley made me realize what time of year it was, and how much I absolutely adore the winter holiday season.
It starts with American Thanksgiving, which as far as I've ever been able to determine is an excuse to indulge in gluttony without being sneered at by friends and family. The VERY NEXT DAY is Black Friday, which is the beginning of the greed of the christmas season. After that, we've got weeks and weeks of greed and rage as people fight over parking spaces at the mall, and that One Must Have Toy - I don't know what it is this year, but anything that causes so much avarice I'm a fan of.
During this time we've also holiday parties all over the place, and if they're good parties they result in drunken debauchery. There's blasphemy and apostasy galore, as people ignore the so called reason-for-the-season, or fulfill their so called religious duty as a diehard C&E church goer.
There's despair when presents are opened and the things little hearts yearned for aren't there, and covet the gifts of others. We've Christmas feasts and holiday parties all over the place, leading to more gluttony and debauchery, and it's ended with New Years eve... where anything goes.
It helps that my favourite real holiday, Saturnalia, takes place in there too.
Maybe I will throw a party... |

Like I do every year, I was starting my holiday shopping early. But like I also do every year, I got some things for people that I can't wait to give them, so some of you have some gifts waiting. ... ignore the holiday wrap, go ahead and open them now. You'll still get something in december.
