Students, I would like to introduce you to Neculai Antonescu, one of our new students who was, in a way, rescued from Anton Castle as well. He is the summoned reflection of Sorin, which means he looks like him, sounds like him and knows what Sorin knew, but he is not Sorin. He has a different personality and outlook on life than Sorin did.
Neculai is an Intermediate who will be in House Pegasus. I would implore you all to be kind to him. I know the loss of Sorin has been hard for us and that his appearance will be painful for some students, but I would like you to remember that he is attending this school to better himself and to make something out of the life that Sorin granted him. Sorin wanted Neculai to have his own life. Please help me honor his wishes.

As you have heard by now, I have returned to the school after an extended leave of absence. I will take over as Headmistress for Mr. Cavanaugh, who did a wonderful job during my absence.
My return, however, is marked by sadness and grief. As you may not have heard, a young life was taken from us this summer. Sorin Antonescu fell while saving his friends from Anton Castle. A private vigil was held for him by his Anton family at the end of this summer and a grave marker has been erected in the graveyard. If you wish to pay your respects, you can do so there, or you can add to the mountain of plushies and flowers that has accumulated under his portrait in the entrance hall.
He will be missed.

Kaliméra, everyone! To all new students, welcome! Please do not be afraid to ask for help if you have lost your way to the classroom: everybody here has lost their way in the hallways at least once or twice. To all returning students, please reacquaint yourself with the school rules and help the new students with their way. Also, we have just cleared all the gum from the bottoms of the table-tops, so it would be nice if we could keep them gum-free for a day, yes?

I realize a lot of you regret that school is starting again. Just remember: free time is only worth something when it's not all the time. And, to go by the immortal words of Albert Camus, remember that, even in the depth of winter, you have inside you an invincible summer.

Mr. Triádhos and Mr. Rivera's wedding has been sadly postponed until further notice. Almost all of the students that were injured in the vicious attack are back on their feet now, for which I am glad.
To my ever-lasting regret, Brother Nikolaos did not make it. A service will be held for him tomorrow. You are all welcome to attend.
After Mr. Kaden so graciously convinced their leader to depart, they have not made contact with us. This means that, despite all the rumors flying around, we are not at war with the Heavens. Nor do the demons hold us accountable for this incident. I advise any and all of you to keep clear from this conflict, however it might develop. It is tragic that they saw this union as a threat, not a step forward.
To quash that other rumor: no, the first classes will not be postponed. Monday the fifth, bright and early.

To fill out a few gasps in our rosters, I have made the decision to hire Mr. Hartley, whom you might know as the ward of the recently graduated Mr. Hartley. He has applied for a job and has given his sword to me. His knowledge of the supernatural world is extensive, he has a lot of experience dealing with the strangest of creatures in this world and he is in charge of a new ward, a young dragon whom he will raise here, on our grounds. He will be teaching Supernatural History, Self Defense and Dragonology.
I realize this decisions may raise a lot of eyebrows. However, I would like to inform you all that this a place of acceptance and redemption, and not just for the students. I hope you will treat him civilly and welcome him into our faculty.
