She doesn't want to be here, but she is.

Who: Claire and OPEN
When: 10PM
Where: Circean Delight

With a glass of wine in one hand and the other crossed over her abdomen, Claire shifted her shoulders uncomfortably. Trust her sister to pick the strangest, most annoying costume ever, she had only one job and that was to pack her a respectable and Claire-esque costume. Instead she pulled out a dress in the Regency style, with long white gloves and simple white shoes. Of course, she didn't have to wear the thing or even go, considering she was merely staff but Claire was trying desperately to loosen up.

So far? No dice.

Standing near the bar she drained her glass and signalled for another. The only way Claire would ever loosen up, was with a considerable amount of alcohol and so she ordered her third glass. After her fourth she would move on to something a little harder but until then she'd stick with wine, of the white variety and sipped a little faster than usual.

Moving to the country, going to eat a lot of peaches...

Who: Claire and OPEN
When: Noon
Where: Thalia's Dinner

Although she liked the ship and wasn't too averse to the passengers, Claire was already sick of the library. She wanted to be back in Boston, or maybe settling in at New York Public. The idea that she was basically stuck on a ship didn't hit her until that morning and she was only a little scared at the idea of being stuck in the elevators after last night. Now, she wasn't completely claustrophobic but sometimes she would start to hyperventilate if she didn't get out of a particularly small space or crowded room.

Claire loved the sun and probably would have been out in it right now if she wasn't so horribly pale and prone to sunburn. It happened so easily it was hard for her to spend extended amounts of time in the sun. So she settled for cheery and adorable Thalia's Dinner, sitting at the bar in front of a half eaten burger and a cup of tea, watching the people mill around and recognizing very few of them.

A room without books is like a body without a soul

Who: Claire and John
When: Early evening, before dinner
Where: Homer's Library

The ship was huge, much bigger then she had imagined, but the library was relatively small and Claire didn't mind so much. It was easier to watch over a smaller place, she had come from such big libraries that it was almost a relief for there to be only one level. She shelved books with ease and even took a few moments to peruse the titles and sniff the pages, which was one of her favourite things about books. The musty old smell or the newer and crisp smell of the pages. She smiled to herself, as long as she was around shelves of books she was at home but she knew the homesickness would set in sooner rather then later if she sat too long. With that in mind she whisked around the tables, picking up books and periodically shushing people.
