TIME UPDATE

DATE: Wednesday, December 30, 2009.

WEATHER: Very grey and cloudy, with a cool breeze.

EVENTS: Tonight is the costume ball! It starts at 8 PM at Circean Delight. A small section of tables on the first floor of the restaurant have been removed to make room for a dance floor, and there’s a live orchestra playing on the stage from 8 to 10. After that come the after parties! All bars on ship are offering half off drinks to those in costume. There’s dancing at Sing the Rage and Ossa, and live acts in all rooms of Cult of Dionysus - a pianist playing the piano bar, a jazz band playing the jazz bar, and a lounge singer on the main stage. There is free day care in the family room on I Deck, where the kiddies are having a costume party of their own!

Tomorrow is New Year’s Eve!

TIME UPDATE

DATE: Tuesday, December 29, 2009.

WEATHER: Warm and sunny! Holy crap! This actually does change a little - towards the evening it grows cloudy, but it's nothing to be alarmed about.

EVENTS: There are shows tonight! Apollon Grace is having a huge dancing extravaganza at 7, and Cult of Dionysus is having a rock showcase at 9 (with Keane and Res' band, Tumbler Renegade, performing). A lot of buzz is going towards tomorrow night's costume ball, which has been partially billed as one of the main events of the cruise (celebrity New Years performances being the highlight).

TIME UPDATE

DATE: Monday, December 28, 2009.

WEATHER: Warm and sunny! Wow! What a change!

EVENTS: At 2:30 in the morning, the power finally comes back on. Many apologies are made from the crew, and later in the morning every passenger has a voucher for free dinner at any restaurant.

There are several nighttime events to choose from today. At 7 PM is a poker tournament at Tyche's Favor. Ossa is repeating its 90s theme night, since things were cut short yesterday. But if the 90s aren't vintage enough for you, Cult of Dionysus is celebrating the Roaring 20s. They're really going all out for this theme night, complete with jazz music, swing dancing, and the entire staff dressed in styles of the late 20s. The party goes on til closing time at 1 AM. Luckily staff and passengers were given an itinerary of on-ship events several weeks ago, so people had advance warning in case they wanted to pack costumes.

TIME UPDATE

DATE: Sunday, December 27th, 2009

WEATHER: Same as yesterday, hot and sunny! But there's a lovely breeze on all the decks.

EVENTS: While the ship offers no official religious services, those who wish to observe their faiths in their own way are welcome to come to the chapel, open twenty-four hours a day! Today, a volunteer priest and protestant minister can be found inside the chapel to offer their services.

It's 90s night at the dance club Ossa. Dress accordingly and get half off your drinks! The party starts at 7 PM.

Please note that there will be a game-wide event at 8:15 PM gametime. Please do not play scenes that take place after that time.

TIME UPDATE

DATE: Saturday, December 26th, 2009

WEATHER: Hot and sunny!

EVENTS: The Nausicaä leaves port at 9 AM without a hitch. Each passenger (or party of passengers) are checked in and shown their room by a crew member, and then left to settle and do what they will. Staff have spent the past few days learning the ropes and are already familiar with the ship in some way. Everyone is invited to dinner at Circean Delight tonight, where the captain is expected to make some sort of welcoming speech. Bon voyage!
