So, I'd said I wouldn't post solos anymore but, er, there's the both of them there then maybe it's not even solo... right? But soon I'll do some real Snupin, yeah! I've got way too much free time right now.

Title: Untitled
Rating: G
Summary: Two portraits: one of Remus and one of Snape.
A/N: I've been meaning to use photo reference for more then hands and feet for a while and, well, Remus was almost a copy of the photo but Snape... changed just a bit.
Just for note, their difference in texture is due to my trial version of CorelPainter expiring before I could use it on Snape :'(
As always, constructive criticism = love!

Trading Places Challenge: Fiction sign-up post

Add to Memories Tell a Friend

Trading Places Sign-Ups: Fiction

Initial details about this challenge are here. The purpose of the Trading Places Challenge is to give writers the opportunity to write for existing fan art, and artists the chance to draw for existing fiction. This is the sign-up post for FICTION.

To participate, leave a comment with up to three (3) links to fictions pieces you wish to see illustrated.

Rules for posting:
1. You may not put any notes or stipulations in your comment, links only please. If an artist approaches you with questions on which parts you wish to see illustrated or what something might look like, that's different and please feel free to elaborate.

2. Any length of fiction is acceptable, even a drabble if you wish. PLEASE NOTE ANY R OR NC17 PIECES.

3. Adding a reply here means you will claim at least one piece of art to write a minimum of 500 words for in the other sign-up post.

4. Snape/Lupin, Lupin/Snape, Snupin stories only!

5. You may choose one threesome fiction to list as long as Lupin/Snape are central to it.

6. Sign-ups end at 11:59 p.m. EST on Friday, January 11.

Claiming Rules:
1. DO NOT begin claiming until Midnight, EST on Saturday, January 12. There's no need to wait for me to post, just begin at midnight.

2. To claim, make a reply to the comment with the fic(s) you wish to illustrate, copying and pasting exactly what the author put on the line to make your claim. One claim per fic, please. If all the fics are claimed, then we'll open them up to second claims.

3. You may claim up to three pieces at a time. If you finish all three before the deadline, you may come back and claim up to three more, also to be finished before the deadline.

4. Your art offering may be a minimum of a sketch or drawble, however, if you do photomanips, please try to make it a "full" version. I leave defining "full", "sketch" and "drawble" to your judgment. Please make Snape/Lupin central to the image, of course!

5. I also leave rating to your judgment. You can create a G-rated piece for an NC17 fic, however, I'm not sure how well an NC17 piece would go over for a G-rated fic.

6. Do not claim any piece you are not old enough to read.

7. Feel free to contact the author of any piece you are illustrating if you have questions.

8. Please post your piece here or at [info]bymoonlight (if R or NC17) first, and on LJ if you want to.

9. The deadline for submitting all art to the community is February 15.

Remember, no "discussion" in the replies here, please. Take discussion here. Also, please do not abuse the "3 claims" maximum. You might keep someone else from a great prompt. If you don't think you can complete three pieces of art in the timeperiod, only claim as many as you think you can handle. Once you complete your claims, you can always come back for more.

If you're an author-artist, feel free to sign up on both the fiction and art posts, but, remember, you'll need to then claim at least one piece of both art and fiction. You do not have to be signed up on either post to make claims.

Have questions? Ask them over here. If I need to make any edits here, I'll post them in red and label them with ETAs. Have fun, everyone!

Snupin Santa 2007 Master List

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Here it is - the master list of gifts posted in the [info]snupin_santa 2007 fest! All gifts are listed in the order in which they were posted.

Please don't forget to upload your stories and send in your art to the Moonshadow archive! Everyone is invited to house their stories or art (and any other RL/SS stories or art they might have) at the archive.

Gifts marked with an asterisk were included in the "Hot Rec/Hot Art" section of the [info]dailysnitch.

The general stats are at the bottom of the post.

Snupin Santa 2006 Masterlist and Stats )

ATTENTION 2005-2007 PARTICIPANTS:

Now that the master list is up, I'm going to work on switching the gifts to the creator's account. I'm not sure how long it will take, but I'll let everyone know when I'm finished. In addition to being able to edit your stories/art at the site, you'll receive comment notifications for new feedback if you've turned on that option for your account, and you'll be able to respond to feedback left in response to the story/art.

Once that's finished, I'm taking a roughly two week hiatus from fandom organizational activity, and during that time, the fest site will be opened up to submissions again.

What that means is, you'll be able to add stories from 2005/2006, and you'll be able to edit all of your stories/art. After January 21, I'm going to close the site again so that I can upload remaining stories/art from 2005 and 2006 to complete the fest archive.

But McKay, you might ask, why do you have to close the archive so that we can't edit our posts while you do that? Because I don't want a straggler coming along and uploading something from 2005/2006 and then I end up uploading it again myself without realizing it (no, I don't get notifications when something has been added).

Also, please don't be a slack-ass and let me upload your 2005/2006 stuff for you and then ask me to flip it to your account once it's up. I'm doing this on my free time which I have precious little of, and taking advantage like that is Not Cool.

At any rate, rest assured that once all the gifts from 2005/2006 have been uploaded to the site, the site will be opened back up so that everyone can edit their posts to their heart's content (until December 2008, assuming there's the possibility of Snupin Santa being held again, which is still very much up in the air).

Just as a FYI, I've taken measures to block the Snupin Santa fest site from being harvested by web crawlers, so it won't come up in Google and other searches. That gives an extra measure of safety in addition to the age warnings in case anyone was concerned.

Also, if you have not said thank you for your gift(s) yet, PLEASE DO SO. Someone did their best to create something, and it deserves to be acknowledged in some way, even if it's just "Thank you, I appreciate the effort you made for me".

Thanks again to all participants, pinch hitters, readers, reccers, and commenters! Snupin Santa 2007 produced some wonderful stories and art, and I'm proud that it was a successful fest this year, especially in the wake of DH. I think we've shown our ship is alive and well!

Last Call!

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
All right, I've gone through the 2007 fest entries on the site and switched the accounts from "Snupin Santa" to the authors/artists I recognized. Please check and make certain I've switched your story/art to the correct account!

I need to hear from the following people regarding whether...

~ they want to keep their story/art hosted by the Snupin Santa account (in which case, I'll edit their name into the post)

~ they want to create an account so that I can switch the gift to their account (in which case they need to do so asap)

~ or they have an account that I couldn't readily identify as being them (in which case, they need to tell me what it is).

Snape's Birthday

Add to Memories Tell a Friend

This is actually old stuff, not new, but it's Snapecentric so enjoy.

G Weird title, I know. Weird, short oneshot too. Snupin, though. Written shortly after HBP came out. Snape comforts a grieving Remus. I don't even think it's even quite slash.

Chilled Wine
PG Snape muses about life from his post-HBP hideout. Written pre-DH.

Snape's Greatest Fear
R Snape faces a boggart. Written before DH.

Kill
G Snape's death.

Jagged
PG Snape is informed of Lily's death.

The Redemption of Bad Blood
PG-13 Snape enters the afterlife and remembers his life as it was, and sees how different the next life really is.

Snupin_Prophet volunteers needed!

Add to Memories Tell a Friend

Real quick, as I'm running out the door -

While the (amazing, near tireless, omg how do we get along without her) McKay is on a fandom hiatus (eek), who wants to help me gather links for [info]snupin_prophet for a couple weeks? I'd like to assign people to the following sections:

Drabbles (Lupin100, Snape100, Snupin100, possibly HP100 on both IJ and LJ)
Lupin_Snape & ByMoonlight (On IJ and LJ)
Archives (I have a list I will give you - I think I have a volunteer for this, but please confirm, dear volunteer!)
McKay's flist on LJ (I might take this one myself)
McKay's flist on IJ (I am taking this part myself)

Collection of links would begin after the Prophet is posted tomorrow (Sunday). It would be great to have the links in the html format, as in this issue, but I'll take just links.

Please reply here if you're interested. I can give more info based on your questions. I'll be back later!
