Alphonse Elric returned last night. He reports that his transport through the portal was painless and swift, but cold. He also reports that his timeline noted him missing for three days, beginning when he first arrived in Knowhere.
In the five days that passed since his departure from here, he spent
several approximately two years at home.
Likewise, Agent Texas was gone several years, as was Edward Elric. To me, it seems our transport through portals--if at all successful--comes with a cost. Three is not enough to establish a statistic, but it is thus far the only evidence of pattern we have.
So I say with seriousness, we have to consider that if we step through a portal we may be aging faster than those we leave behind here.
That said, I think we should begin considering an exploration of them in earnest. I want a team that can go through together. Someone to lead, someone for protection, someone smart enough to see what the others don't. This isn't first come first serve and decisions will not be made lightly.
We'll discuss the mission, the worth, and weigh the risks before it's decided if you go at all.
