Sisterly Meeting
Who: Gwyn and Genna
When: Day 67, Late Afternoon
Where: The Keep, Gwyn's room
Rating: PG
Status: Open to Genna, and perhaps others a bit later.
Long hair blew in the wind as Gwyn dangled precariously out the window. Well, Gwyn didn't think that 'dangled' was quite an accurate description but that was how the maid had reacted when she had come in. Amaylia again Gwyn noted as she was ever so lightly pulled back into the room. Happily she wasn’t admonished, but then the woman was probably a bit sympathetic to her plight. Gwyn liked to hope so, well she liked to hope that anyone might be sympathetic. After all, she had cooped up the entire day in the room. Not even a walk to the garden! Her sister and her brother got to explore and do whatever else it was, paint walls maybe, and she stay in her room the entire time.
The master that had come to try and teach her a lesson explained that the confinement was because she was ill but Gwyn knew otherwise. They thought she might run off unseen again and give her Septa, or perhaps her mother, a fright. Gwyn couldn’t understand what the fuss was. The last time she had gone she hadn’t been injured or harmed in any way. If it was the way she had been dressed then she would simply dress more appropriately this time…but none of the adults had been listening to her. Her sweet faced pleading hadn't even worked on the guard outside in the hallway...though she could tell he had almost let her past. Then that Septa had come by.
“I was only seeing if Genna was coming,” the girl said rather reproachfully at the maid who asked as patiently as she could what the princess thought she was doing. Hands on her hips, Gwyn looked at the maid for a moment more before she threw herself onto her bed. She stretched her arms and legs out and gave a loud sigh. “You said they’re fetching her, aren’t they?” She had asked for her sister an eternity ago…well, perhaps it had only been a few minutes but it certainly felt like an eternity. She hadn’t asked very politely either, which she had thought would get her sister quite quickly. Apparently not.
“Er…perhaps if I told you a story,” the maid began quietly, hopefully, but the girl’s head moved from side to side. “No, I wish to speak with my sister right now!” She sighed then as she looked over at the maid, and gave her a small smile. “I’ve just been very bored.” It was as close to an apology as she would get at the moment, but it was one nonetheless. She wasn’t the sister who screamed about wanting things generally, it was just…it was so very boring and dull in the room!
After a moment the girl pushed herself off of the bed to get the map she had drawn, it hidden under her pillow lest someone try and take it from her. The Septa had already been snooping about but Gwyn could be quite clever when she wanted to be…if clever consisted of stuffing it into the dress she was currently wearing. Really. All dressed up in this lovely purple color for nothing.
