Ray would have liked to cook, but there were plans and besides, he couldn't not see his best green slimy friend on one of the candy holidays. Everyone knew how much Slimer liked candy holidays. (Obviously he wanted to see his other friends, too, but candy holidays just weren't as important to Egon and Pete and Janine). He'd brought a big heart-shaped box of candy which Slimer had eaten whole. And they'd had a nice evening with friends, and Ray had enjoyed himself but he was also happy to be heading home, fingers laced through Miller's, swinging their arms between them on a jovial sugar high thanks to the small supply of treats he'd been able to secure for them with the spud around.
There was comfortable quiet as they headed out to the car. Ray had gotten her purring like Holden the Cat with a freshly crushed vase to chew on and Ray felt just as happy with the situation. "Your place or mine?" Ray asked him with a big grin as he let go of Miller's hand to get into the driver's seat.
"Probably whoever has the most dessert. I still feel like chocolate," he admitted, grin only widening.
This was officially his longest lasting relationship - which might have said more about him than anything else, but he wasn't going to jinx it. It was just that most people were bored hearing him talk about a mass sponge migration or would be disgusted by the details of throat spider harvesting. Not Miller.
The thought of which resulted in a smile that was equal parts dreamy and adoring for just a moment, before he turned his attention back to the road. "Did you know that the love heart is modeled after the silphium plant? Some people say it's the shape of the rear end but most likely it's this extinct plant. It was said to be an aphrodisiac and a contraceptive. The Romans said it was worth it's weight in gold."
