Recovering (Narrative)

The tower was a lot nicer to be in than the hospital, though that wasn't really saying much. Annie had decided that she didn't really like the hospital at all. Still, she was in a place that felt like home now, being taken care of by Tony and the arm bots. That alone made her feel better.

She sent Fred a quick note using the tablet to tell her that not only was the hospital no longer her place of residence, but if she wanted, she could come get her tablet and visit for a while.

Tony made sure that she had everything she wanted, and even brought her special surprises she hadn't asked for. Annie knew that he felt guilty - though he'd never admit that - for not coming for her sooner, and she didn't know how to ease that burden for him. He couldn't have known. She even managed to trace how far her signal to him had gotten, and it had been stopped about halfway between her and the tower. Probably about when she'd lost consciousness.

He hadn't come to talk to her about who had done this yet, which was a little curious. She wondered if he already knew. If he'd found out somehow, maybe had already taken care of the matter. Annie hoped that if that were the case, Tony had used the suit to crush the asshole into mush.

She was going to heal, and hopefully soon. She was really tired of being in bed. And she wanted to help Fred out.

"No, Waffle..." Annie sighed and laughed a little because she couldn't help it. "That's the call button, not the remote, you can't keep hitting that ... Jarvis, please don't let the signal for that bother Tony, it's just Waffle, he's trying to change the channel on the television."
