The 1940's Meet (Susan and Jack H)

After some research Susan had been able to locate a proper practice range for archery and decided since the weather was nice some practice was in order. With bow and arrow along with her quiver she looked to be a simple student but not many knew the truth, this time period was still most confusing. *Especially the way people treat each other, there is such a thing as being nice* she mused to herself as she walked. That was when she spotted the great coat passing her way, the coat being common among the RAF in her time period. "Excuse me sir!" she called to the older man,"I could not help but notice your coat, Royal Air Force by chance?" hoping he was also from her time.

Life (Baba)

Ted had gotten into a kind of routine with things. He had work to do for George, making sure that her money increased and that there was the right amount set aside for taxes. Not that he was at all sure that people paid taxes in the City, but just in case. He didn't want to have her fall short somehow, or get into any trouble for not paying.

There were two females and one wolf living in the house with him and Charlie. He was, finally, comfortable with all of them being there. They even had furniture now. Beds for everybody - including the wolf - to sleep on. Couches. A television. Things normal people had in their homes.

Things in this place were abnormal, but in their abnormality, they'd become normal. Normal wasn't normal anymore. And that was okay. Ted was okay with that.

He was also okay with the moving buildings and streets. He'd started thinking of it all kind of like an adventure. New places and new people every single day.

The only unfortunate thing about that was that every day he found a new coffee shop and had to relearn what he wanted to drink and how to say it in their specific coffee shop lingo.

Which is what he was currently contemplating while standing outside and looking at what he was sure was the hundredth coffee shop he'd been to.

Some serious thought to things - Zoe

Recent events, recent things that he'd read, recent everything that was going on in his life had gotten Bruce to thinking. It hadn't been particularly happy thinking, either. There was a lot of issue with what he wanted to do for this City that was his home now, and what he could do because of circumstances.

Too many people here knew him. Knew his life. His true identity. The people that he loved. Too many of those people were the bad guys. There was too much threat to himself and those he kept company with.

He had, in fact, come to something of a decision. But it didn't come down to a choice he could make. It all rested on the acceptance of another.

Bruce checked his watch and saw that it was about time for the training lesson today. Something that he'd gotten quite used to over the past few weeks. It was good to have somebody under his wing again - so to speak. Somebody to show things to, to teach. She was already pretty good at a lot of things. Bruce didn't agree with her penchant for guns, but he wasn't going to give her lectures about it. She was a grown woman, and he wasn't going to change her at this point. Though, he knew in all honesty that even if she'd been very young he could never have changed anything about her. She was very headstrong and very sure of her ideals and her way of things. He imagined that she always had been.

It was one of the many reasons that he liked her.

He looked up just as Alfred came through the door. "Miss Zoe to see you, sir. Should I ready the training room?"

"Please, Alfred. And send her in."

Supply Shopping (Open)

Gwen was out on a mission: supplies for the coffeehouse she and Jack were within days of having open to the public. So as she walked she scanned buildings, trying to find the supply shop she had located a few days before. "All this for a few bags of fancy coffee and a few trays of cookies unique to England" she mused her her breath. She made a note to stop at the paper as well to look into rates for an ad,*Because afrer all Torchwood Coffee does need the press* able to smile a little more.

But unlike a few days before Gwen was starting to smile a little more. From the shop to restarting Torchwood to even finding a local version of PC Andy, maybe things would get a tiny bit brighter. Only thing missing: Rhys.

An honest mistake. (Charlie)

The City wasn't so bad, but Raven really, really missed her home. She'd been doing everything she could to be brave, to distract herself, but lately the faces of her friends and family had been surfacing in her dreams. Nothing bad; nothing like some of the nightmares she'd had in her time. These were just dreams of happier days.

It was starting to wear on her. Her loved ones were constantly on the edge of her subconscious, so when she turned the corner, it was easy for her mind to play tricks on her. A teenaged girl with pigtails and an impish gait looked a little like Mac from a distance, and that was all it took for Raven's brain to fill in the details. The girl turned the corner; Raven's heart gave a great heave of excitement, and she broke into a run to try to catch up.

"HEY!" She exclaimed, feet pounding hard against the sidewalk. "Hey, Mackenzie, wait u--"

Raven tore around a corner only to find herself in the direct path of someone else. She let out a startled yelp, her reddish eyes going wide with surprise and fear, and she began windmilling her arms in an attempt to stop without falling over.

Yeah, good luck with that, kid.
