Dean had combed through books. Without Sam around cause whenever he did, his brother seemed to get upset. He had visited a few people but not all that he wanted. There just didn't seem to be time. And the more he walked the streets, the more he saw some people's real faces.
After going out to get some beers, Dean was returning and he heard faint howls. He had had nightmares of being caught. Dragged and torn at. Of Sam and him in a house with Lilith. She had taken over Ruby's body and let the hounds in. He could feel them tearing at him. It was if he was coming apart and this other Dean that Sam knew of him was melding with him. And in a not so pleasant way.
It was painful.
He walked into the room, "Sammy? I'm back." He shouted as he placed the beer upon the table. Dean winced as another pain shot through him and his chest felt tight. "Sammy!"
