Changes (Narrative)

The big man had told him he wasn't a good person anymore, which hadn't phased him like it should have, and then the City had upheaved itself, which phased him quite a bit. Despite living here so long, despite all he'd seen and everybody he'd met (Spock came to mind quite quickly), he'd never expected anything like this.

Everything vanishing, and then rebuilding itself in almost exactly the same way?

Made no sense.

Dexter had no issues finding what he wanted to find, no more than usual anyway, but it wasn't always complete when he found it.

There was, of course, curiosity about why it was going on. But the lust for death and killing overwhelmed any desire he had to find out the details of anything else.

He'd called in sick days and vacation days, saying he just needed some time off. People at work wouldn't worry about him so much now. They wouldn't wonder where he was. What he was doing. And as long as he was careful, well. None of it would matter anyway.

Helping (Spike)

There were a lot of things on his plate. A lot of things to do. People needed help. Things needed sorting. There was still the issue of evil out there. But Jesse felt more compelled toward a promise he had kept before all of this.

He'd definitely come to terms already with the shifting of the city. It didn't matter. It was the way of this world, where ever this world was. Long ago he'd given up trying to justify any of it to himself or anybody else.

It was easier to find the soul-filled vampire than he'd thought it would be. Spike was like a beacon with his voices following him. His insanity glowed brightly for Jesse.

The bar was dark. He found Spike immediately and sat down next to him.

"Hope you remember me." He said before he ordered a beer.

Glee (narrative)

There was chaos everywhere! The city was quite literally torn apart. People were scared, screaming, running in circles, chasing their tails. Jack only wished that he'd had something to do with it.

On top of that, he had Superman. He had the Boy in Blue.

His.

All his.

His his his his his.

Now all he had to do was figure out just what he was going to do with the man. There was still no sign of Lex anywhere. Still no sign of anything, really. Things were changing, people vanishing.

Delightful.

Jack looked out the window of Arkham Asylum, his elbow resting on the shoulder of the Superstatue.
