Pyrrha seems to be of no interest whatsoever to Lord Iagan today. He has no time for her, and this may come as a relief: until Pyrrha hears a rumor that Lord Iagan has made inquiries about securing his sister away in a church somewhere. Apparently there's an abbey somewhere in Valhalla for disgraced noble ladies whose families had to do away with them. Pyrrha has no way of knowing if this is true or not.
While walking in the yard, Alcott witnesses his nephew, Cedrych, nearly trampled by a runaway horse. He risks himself to save the boy, and the story of his love and bravery spreads quickly through-out Kingswood.
