w e a t h e r: It's a clear, sunny day! The temperatures rise back into the 70s, and it's fairly damp and humid (particularly in the morning), but clearer weather is on the way.

e v e n t s: Anyone who is Gifted - known or unknown - may feel as though they are going mad, for it seems that today they will hear animals speaking. One person may understand bird song while another hears the dog begging for scraps or the horse disdaining at having its saddle put on... there is no escape from it, at some point every Gifted person will hear a talking animal.

w e a t h e r: The light rain continues off and on through-out the course of the night, but by dawn it's simply an occasional drizzle. It's a very foggy morning, but that clears by the afternoon.

e v e n t s: Late in the night, a castle guard hears a soft whispering coming from one of the private gardens of Elkwood Castle. When he investigates he happens upon a cloaked figure standing in a chalk circle whispering what appears to his ear to be strange incantations. Around the circle are strange runes sprinkled with various herbs. The guard watches for a brief time, surprised at the sight. When the runes begin to glow, he gasps -- alerting the figure to his presence. The figure jumps, curses under their breath, and promptly disappears into thin air. The runes stop glowing. The entire royal guard is alerted and the castle searched, but there is no sign of the cloaked figure. Several advisors to the king agree upon inspection of the site that some form of ritual was being performed, but none of them can agree on what it was. One thinks the intent was to create a powerful love potion to be used on a member of the royal family. Another is certain that it was to be a magical attack on the king. A third believes the individual was actually attempting to cure the king. Whatever the case may be, the site is cleaned, but servants cannot be stopped from talking and it's soon the gossip of the court. This leads to a fair bit of paranoia.

Despite the poor weather conditions, there is a bazaar being held all day in the harbor district, with a strong emphasis on foreign goods - particularly the delicacies and fashions of far-off kingdoms.

w e a t h e r: The sun rises on another cool, cloudy day. As the sun sets a light rain finally begins, and continues through-out the night.

e v e n t s: Despite the cooler weather, a hunt has been planned in the king's forest for any members of the court that wish to attend. A large retinue of servants are brought along, setting up a rather large picnic-style lunch in a nearby clearing, with plenty of cushions to sit on.

Tomorrow a bazaar is being held in the harbor district, where merchants will be showcasing foreign goods.

Cat's attention may be slightly distracted today - but then again, so might Karanteg's. In the morning a courier brings the lady a small box, and says he was paid by a man with his face hidden to deliver it. Inside the box is a gold and ruby necklace. A note underneath reads: For the fairest jewel I have ever seen, to bring light to her face in dark times. -A secret admirer. A servant oversees the deliver and gossip of Cat's secret admirer spreads quickly. This is certainly an insult to Karanteg! Some man has designs on his wife!

Ask and ye shall receive. And receive, and receive, and receive. Today everything looks like a sign, a message, a glittering arrow pointing to various ladies of marriageable age and acceptable stock. Every time he encounters one, which won't be hard since they're all staying at his castle, a lot of wedding/queen-related symbols Alcott knows to recognize will seem to show themselves in several forms. ...Or is he just that desperate?

w e a t h e r: Temperatures dip overnight, and the sun rises on a rather overcast day. Temperatures don't go above the mid-50s.

e v e n t s: The Mouth of the Creator, Divine Mother Althea, spends her morning offering blessings to the poor and sick in a small temple in a common neighborhood. She returns to Elkwood Castle in the evening, and before dinner gives a sermon in the Temple of Kings - a private church for the royalty and nobility.

Tomorrow morning a hunt has been planned for the court.

Kevan shows an increased aptitude for combat training today, though as an unforeseen drawback, Khala is pushed aside in favor of her brother by her parents through-out the day.

w e a t h e r: It's another beautiful spring day, with temperatures continuing to rise into the mid-high 70s.

e v e n t s: Today is the tourney in honor of the Mouth of the Creator's arrival to Kingswood. The joust is at noon, and the melée is at 4. Of course there's another grand feast in the evening, but this one is being held outside in one of the many castle gardens. Free food and ale are also being provided amongst the common folk.

Every time that Cat sees Karanteg, she feels a burning rage that is going to culminate in her throwing a wine pitcher at his head.

Aria wakes up to find tiny ragdoll versions of her family sitting on her pillow. Her sister's doll is the largest. Leaving them behind in her room only causes the dolls to inexplicably show up at different intervals through the day, in the weirdest positions and places.

Many of the ladies currently at court are more than willing to make it very interesting for Locan should he manage to get out of bed and attend... they're all looking for a chance to get him out of his pants, wink wink.

Fingers cannot be replaced, but Kelvin wakes with his injured hand almost completely healed, and in little to no pain at all. As for the tournament, well, the competitors are feeling a little more aggressive and violent than what is probably normal. Blood will definitely be shed.

w e a t h e r: The beautiful weather continues, with sunny skies and temperatures in the mid-low 70s.

e v e n t s: The Mouth of the Creator, Divine Mother Althea, arrives in Kingswood by boat at about 3 in the afternoon. Hundreds of people have lined the harbor to welcome her, and of course, there's another grand feast in the great hall tonight to celebrate her arrival.

Rune's prayer is granted. He finds himself in a pub, where a group of men purchase him all the ale he can drink. These men are not interested in marriage, but they are interested in Rune. If you get my meaning.

Cuthwulf experiences a burst of energy and zeal, leaving him thinking he can take on the world. He wants to do all the things! Unfortunately, he'll take on too much and when attempting to dance at the feast, he'll throw his back out.

Somehow, Kelvin manages to cut off a few fingers. Well done and good luck explaining that to your wife, Karanteg.

Pyrrha seems to be of no interest whatsoever to Lord Iagan today. He has no time for her, and this may come as a relief: until Pyrrha hears a rumor that Lord Iagan has made inquiries about securing his sister away in a church somewhere. Apparently there's an abbey somewhere in Valhalla for disgraced noble ladies whose families had to do away with them. Pyrrha has no way of knowing if this is true or not.

While walking in the yard, Alcott witnesses his nephew, Cedrych, nearly trampled by a runaway horse. He risks himself to save the boy, and the story of his love and bravery spreads quickly through-out Kingswood.

w e a t h e r: Temperatures raising into the low 70s with clear, sunny skies.

e v e n t s: There is still a steady stream of nobility arriving in Kingswood, and the Mouth of the Creator is expected to arrive within the next two days. Preparations are underway for the tourney to be held in two days, and there's another feast tonight in the great hall.

All druids, once again, have the dream that visited them last night. The dream is exactly the same, and even more vivid than before.

Reyne simply won't be allowed to use the dresses for kindling. Or anything else, for that matter. Fires will not start in her presence; what's more, fires near her will actually go out.

The servant girl that troubled Locan yesterday is struck with an over-the-top sense of pride in her work, and she wants nothing more than to make sure the Lord Silverling is well taken care of. She'll follow him around all day in attempt to anticipate his needs. Often incorrectly, and with terrible timing.

All day Rona will find herself strangely drawn and attracted to Alcott.

Daphisio wakes up to the news that his eldest daughter was unfortunately sick all over one of the lords she had been up talking and drinking with the previous night. Looks as though his strength will be tested.

w e a t h e r: The skies have finally cleared after three long days of rain in Arcadie. It's a warm and sunny spring day, with temperatures averaging around 68°F.

e v e n t s: Today marks the start of the year-long jubilee celebrations in Kingswood! The noble houses of the Blessed Realm have all received invitations to spend the jubilation year at court, and for many, it's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, too good to possible pass up. The Mouth of the Creator, Divine Mother Althea, has finished her annual pilgrimage to the Green Beyond the Greys, and is expected to arrive in Kingswood within the next few days. A large tourney in her honor will take place three days hence, with heavy purses of coin to be won. The festivities kick off today with a steady parade of arrivals, with each newcomer being announced to the court. King Cuthwulf is not required to attend, but is expected to at least put in an appearance before the night's feast in the great hall.

Something strange has is happening to the druids within the borders of the Blessed Realm. Last night, they have all dreamed about a strange meadow surrounded by trees. The meadow is full of flowers in bloom, and in the center of the clearing is a giant stone obelisk, standing perhaps thirty feet tall. The pillar is perfectly smooth, though it does appear there are some carvings near the top. In the dream they will have walked closer to try and get a better look, and as they approach the obelisk begins to glow. They will then hear a voice that seems to come from the obelisk itself. It says, "The jubilation is important to all. Go to Arcadie. Await us there." That's not ominous at all, right? At any rate, the druids are going to keep having this dream whenever they sleep.
