So the plans for the new Youth Center are being drawn up, and while we don't have as many displaced kids here as we used to I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for improvements they'd like to see since we all make use of it for community functions sometimes. Just keep in mind it's still going to be roughly the same size as before, so we can't add on too much more. I've also talked to the kids who are going to be coming back when it's rebuilt, so they had ideas too which we're going to try and incorporate. But it's looking like, barring any really big complications, it should be finished being rebuilt end of October or beginning of November.

Settling in okay?

Yeah, I know. It takes some getting used to. But be happy you had booze when most of this was broken to you. I got told within fifteen minutes of coming on the boards I was fictional, and I was sober. That was kind of a shock.

Need anything right now?

I was talking about the damage from the quake. He rest of it's a real shit storm, too, but it pisses me off that I can't do more for these people. Stupid ancient lack of technology.

Specify next time.

Let me introduce you to Zane Donovan and Tony Stark. Those two are the guys I'd go to for anything regarding advanced tech. If you know how stuff from home works and can explain it, those two geniuses could probably figure out how to build it.

You'll forgive me if I remain skeptical until I see some proof of that.

I already worked most of them into the gym area, especially since I know I plan on moving the self defense classes there when I'm better and can teach them again.

You need a sub in the meantime? I don't want to steal your job, but I could sub for you until your arm heals.

Sure. See if anyone's still interested first, though. The beginner classes are usually Mondays and the advanced classes are Wednesday.

I'm afraid I didn't get a chance to spend much time there before the earthquake hit. What was the old center like?

It was pretty nice. It was a big space with a large field area that could be used for both soccer and football, a basketball courts and a playground area for any younger kids there. Inside there was a computer lab, study areas, a game room, a gym...it was a nice place that was good for all the kids in the town, displaced or not.

It was. My friend Rose Tyler started it, set it all up and just did a great job with it. I tried to keep it going as best I could after the Seal took her back.

I am too. And I know Kevin's grateful for the work; hopefully a project this big will help boost his business when this is all over and let him stay in town.

Would we need to redo the Operation: 500 Backpack thing again? If so, let me know and I'll see about getting some more. And if I'd need to get any other kinds of supplies or equipment, I'm on board for that as well.

Well, the food and stuff got ruined when the building collapsed, but most of the kids had the bags with them so we might not need to replace those, so we'd just need need to restock. But yeah, if we can get a building to store it we can start that program up again before the Center reopens and make sure kids have food. Why don't we meet up and see if we can figure out a place and try and get it back up and running within a month?

Oh yeah, we'd need replacing food. And another large fridge and freezer, anything else that was lost. There could also be some organized field trips for example, to museums, nature parks, police and fire stations, and even workplaces like Stark, mine, or other businesses. I think they'd really like seeing science stuff at SI, though.

Sure, we can meet up. Just tell me what time and place and I'll head on over. Glad your friend is here too, now you'd just need Seal to bring the rest of the team.

Well, lets just concentrate on replacing what we lost and occupying the kids time now first. Field trips sound like a good idea, though. Your building hold up okay in all this?

How about [coffee shop] tomorrow at nine? I can see about having someone meet us to look at temporary rental spaces and we can go take a look. And yeah, I'm glad he's here, too. That'd be great, even though I have no clue how we'd explain Spock.

I'd like to have the best tech I can get for the kids. We had a group of them who were wanting to get into robotics, and having the equipment to do that and get into league based competitions would be awesome. It was going to be in conjunction with the local high school. And anything you can do with security would be great.

Consider it done.

You can get the kids to come visit SI at some point when you're all set up again.

Thanks. And they'd love that. We're still trying to do something for them like a summer camp, run it through the university, so maybe we can do a tour in a few weeks?

Also, I have a friend from home, Leonard McCoy. He's used to working with some pretty high tech equipment. I told him you and Zane would be the people I'd talk to about replicating some of it. Any chance you might want to meet him?

[OOC: SO sorry this is so late. Ugh, i hate real life...]
