It was not just for the love of our sister. I will admit to this: I am not afraid of him, Niklaus. I've lived to long and seen too much to fear Death. However, you make your own valid points: he could punish the others if I challenge him. I'm not willing to lose any of you. Even if it bothers me to no ends that he feels he can order me around. You, of all people, should understand that.

	You should be. For so many reasons. Death is a primal thing Elijah, older than any of us older than bloody Silas. I am intelligent enough to see that as much as yes, I do hate feeling second to something but I also rather like surrviving. On the balance of things, I'll take the lesson in humility.
