Filtered against evils
So after spending all day yesterday and the previous night poking at this computer thing, I think i have basics down

Strange device and I hope it works. But greetings to all, I have recently arrived in this city and will do whatever I can to help stop this apocalypse thing. It is...definitely a far cry from the world I was taken from.

I am Hercules.

[Gaia]
Thank you for your help when I arrived here. If I can ever return the favor, let me know.

Oh, I see. Still in your wandering period, are you? My apologies. I suppose that's one of the differences between our worlds. That and I would hope you don't owe my counterpart quite so much money.

Not at the moment. Though it was nice to see some gods like you and your brother take an interest in helping your people. But I'll admit I'm not too fond of your brother Loki after he tried to dupe me into killing Baldur.

We still do, though we have to go about it differently, these days. You should also know that Loki is here, but he is with us and is still a good man.

I see...

Something tells me you are not from my world. You look different than the Thor I met in the Norselands.

I'm not surprised. The multiverse is a vast sea, and the Seal seems to have little criteria on which part it plucks a particular person from. It can get to be a bit of a headache, but you do get used to it.

Now it sounds like there's a good story there.

His counterpart on my world and I have been friends for a long time. We can also be more than a bit competitive. So one day, after a glorious battle in Muspelheim that I'm told some of the native Fire Demons still talk about, we had a great feast. Feasting led to drinking, which led to boasting, which led to challenges and, of course, wagers.

I won and he cheaped me on the bet, basically.

Hercules lost and cheaped on a bet? I wish I could have seen it for myself. Name's Iolaus. Grew up with Herc. This Herc, seems there are a few of them or something.

He did well, but he was trying to out-drink an Asgardian. Still, there was no ill will meant, it was truly just a contest between friends. Had it been a matter of genuine contest, I've no doubt he'd have paid in full. He's always been a man of honor and a good friend. I believe you were a companion of his on my world, as well. He spoke of someone with the same name, at least, and he always seemed fond of the memories attached to the name.

A pleasure, Iolaus. I am Thor, son of Odin All-Father, of Asgard.

Nah. I've never known Herc to have a ill bone in his body so you'd be right there. He did? I'm in other worlds? They didn't just write me out? We've had some pretty crazy adventures together.

Same. Iolaus of Corinth if we're going titles.
