No idea if that particular filter works, but it's worth a shot.

So, I went and got one of those amulet things the other day, like Connor said. I signed up for the camp thing or whatever. Here's a question or two that just now occurred again to me and I'm asking before I forget again in hopes that someone can answer:

1.) How do I protect the twins when they're born? I can't exactly put an amulet on each of them, can I? I mean, they're babies. Or will be.
2.) Connor said something to me about, um, the complex being safe or whatever, but...what exactly does that mean? Because, I have no one here...these babies will be it and if anything happened to my boys... I can't have that. And I don't know anything about anything. It's about time I learn.

YES! So much! What did you do to keep him safe?

Well, back home (I'm from a different world, obviously) our home had a lot of security charms on it. I can check and see if Sam knows what ones are on the complex, I might be able to add to it. My son wasn't actually brought here with me, though, but I have thought about it.

The amulets are shiny, so one possibility to keep a baby from playing with them would be a disillusionment charm. If it blends in with what is around it, perhaps there won't be as much of an attraction to it?

How far along are you?

I'm starting to think most people are... Oh no :( I'm so sorry...

Disillusionment charm? Like, in context that sounds like it'll be kind of invisible to them or...something similar?

21 weeks. How old is your son?

I'm pretty sure there's quite a majority of us. Thanks, but it's probably better he isn't here, I wouldn't want him in danger.

As good as invisible to them, yeah. The charm is used to hide in plain sight a lot of the time.

He's a year and some change. Though, there's an older version of him here as well. His name is Neville.

True, but I meant sorry that you were separated more than sorry he wasn't here, if that makes sense?

That is amazing and I love you. What's your name? Do you have, like, a phone number so I can keep you in the loop for when I have the boys? I want it done, like, as soon as they're out of me lol

Neville...I don't think I've met him yet and is that super awkward or what? Yikes...I don't know how I'd handle that, to be honest. You say it like it's no big deal!

Definitely makes sense! No worries.

I'm Alice Longbottom. And I'm glad that I can help. I do have a phone number! [PHONE NUMBER] Keep me updated, for sure, and if you need any help with your boys I'd love to help. I like to think I'm not out of practice yet.

It's extremely strange. The version here is eighteen, he's an adult. I suppose I've just gone leaps and bounds in adjusting.

Alice? I'm Darcy Rhone. I'm [PHONE NUMBER], so you'll know who it is when I text. I'm so bad at remembering to tack on "Hey, this is Darce!" to messages. You are awesome, thank you so much! I'll definitely keep you posted.

Oh wow. Yeah, I'll say, since you don't seem bothered by it. My brain would implode lol

Alice! It's a pleasure to meet you Darcy. I'll see if I can save your number so it pops up as your name. I'm still figuring out some muggle technology a bit. You're more than welcome.

I don't know that I had that big of a brain to implode, bad joke Here's hoping it doesn't happen to you, then. I'm sure that would be some unwanted stress!

Thank you, I'll keep it in mind. And that's all right. Are you familiar with the Harry Potter series?

You're welcome, really. Best way to get through things here seems to be to help one another and I'm happy to help.

Mmhmm, it took a minute to click, sorry. Hence the OMG lol It'll take me forever to get used to that whole fictional characters being actual people thing, you know?

Are you here alone, too? I mean, other than the slew of Harry Potter folk who you may or may not know, I guess?

It's all right. I've been asking a lot of people lately whether or not they are familiar with it, just to check. Sam wasn't kidding when he said it was popular. That's something that I'm still adjusting to myself, actually, so I can understand.

Yes, I am. The other people from my 'world' are from the future. I don't know any of them that well, to be honest. I mean, Neville, of course, but other than that not really. Even then it's hard for him considering what happened to me.

It's, like, disgustingly popular. Kids, adults...everybody has either read the books or seen the movies or both. Like, you literally have to be living under a rock not to be familiar with Harry Potter, at this point, at least where I come from. Apparently here as well. I don't know how I would take someone calling me fictional or knowing who I was without me having a clue who they were...you're a brave soul, girl!

Oh, yeah...I forgot about that... Well, we can at least bond over our loneliness if nothing else even if it totally sucks that I'm not the only member of that club that I know of, anymore.

I'm going to figure that most, if not all, people here know about it from this point on. I haven't the slightest clue how I am handling it at all, to tell the truth. Maybe I'm suppressing it? Who knows, but strange things happen sometimes back home, so I'm just sort of going with it for the moment.

There is always that! We can commiserate together sometimes.

Maybe it's just that you're used to what I would consider abnormal being normal...you're pretty well adjusted if you ask me! Yeah, I'm pretty sure all of the books got on the best seller list at least once and the box office made probably nine or more digits on the Harry Potter film franchise, never mind all of the merch. Harry Potter himself is probably one of the biggest pop culture icons of my time, especially amongst the 20-something crowd because they grew up reading the books from the time they were kids.

Yeah, I think that sounds better than being miserable all alone, like I've been doing.

That might be a part of it, really. I'm sort of trained to deal with unexpected and not completely go batty. Merlin's beard....wow.

I happen to agree. It's not all that easy to be alone. I imagine it's more difficult in your position.

Gotta be it. And yeah, it's a HUGE phenomena.

You don't know the half of it, sweetie...ugh.
