No idea if that particular filter works, but it's worth a shot.

So, I went and got one of those amulet things the other day, like Connor said. I signed up for the camp thing or whatever. Here's a question or two that just now occurred ~~again~~ to me and I'm asking before I forget ~~again~~ in hopes that someone can answer:

1.) How do I protect the twins when they're born? I can't exactly put an amulet on each of them, can I? I mean, they're babies. Or will be.
2.) Connor said something to me about, um, the complex being safe or whatever, but...what exactly does that mean? Because, I have no one here...these babies will be it and if anything happened to my boys... I can't have that. And I don't know anything about anything. It's about time I learn.

We can make something more personal for the babies. Maybe an anklet, or something. Same make as the amulet, but smaller and safer for children.

As for the complex protection, the building has got rock salt lined along built-in grooves on the floors, along with Devil's traps strategically painted in all kinds of places throughout the building. I'm not sure how well acquainted you are with the things that protect you from demons and spirits yet, but both of those things will keep the demons out. For extra measure, we've had various witches and wizards place all kinds of protective magic on the place and, if magic isn't your cup of tea, the complex has got a security system created by some of the most talented tech people out there. Monsters might come at people outside the building plenty, but that complex is definitely the safest place in Lawrence.

I don't mean to look a gift horse in the mouth, I really, really don't. But...there's gotta be something else, like...I don't know, a spell or...I don't know something that will protect them that they won't choke on? It'd be different if I was having one or if I ~~was still with~~ ~~still had~~ had an ever-present baby daddy or whatever but trying to keep two from choking to death on a protective whatchamacallit...I don't know if I can, Sam, I really don't. Unless, you know, you wanna assign me a baby buddy to keep an eye on them with me until they're old enough to know better, I don't know if that's gonna work...

Uh...about as well acquainted as I can be with what you've just said in that paragraph and I don't know what a Devil's trap even is but it sounds like a level on Cat's Cradle or something. You're dealing with a complete and total ~~idiot~~ novice, here. I don't care what the protection comes from and, at this stage, I'll buy just about anything someone sells as far as what's good for me. Is this the kind of stuff I'll learn at camp so when I eventually get a house (I can't live in a tiny apartment with two boys forever; they'll grow up eventually), I'll know how to do it myself?

If there's some kind of charm that could be used to help protect them, I honestly don't know one. The thing about demons is that the ways to ward them off are really specific. There are rarely any acceptable substitutes.

If you go through the complex, you'll probably be able to pick out the funny looking symbols on the walls. Those are Devil's Traps. They look like they've kind of got a star in the middle?

And, yeah. This is the stuff you'll be learning! It'll come to you easy enough once you've been through camp, I promise.

Fuck me. Seriously? Aren't you, like, the expert? What about angels? I met one on here calling himself Balthazar...can't they like bless the boys or something to ward it off or...? I don't know...I hate not knowing!

Oh! Okay, yeah, I wondered what those were...what exactly do they, um, do? Is the name pretty self-explanatory?

I don't know Balthazar well enough to point you or anyone else to him for information or advice. If you're gonna turn to an angel, go talk to Castiel. You can trust him.

If a demon walks into one, they get trapped. Kinda goes with the name, right? Devil's Trap. You get 'em stuck in one of those and all you gotta do is start with your exorcism and off to Hell they go. Of course, there are demons who have their own set of tricks and techniques at getting out of them, so if you ever find yourself in a situation where you've gotta exorcise a trapped demon, don't play around. Go straight for the exorcism and ignore anything they might have to say about you or anyone else.

I do what I can around here. I think everyone does.

Um, aren't exorcisms in like, Aramaic or something? Like I'll ever be able to memorize one of those lol ...wait, like what?

He's been going through some stuff lately. ~~The fallen angel thing doesn't really suit him~~ He pokes around every now and again, but if you specifically contact him, I'm pretty sure he'll respond to you.

It's in a number of languages, depending on which exorcism you're using. I usually try and urge you all to use the Latin versions. I think they're easier to remember, personally.

Connor has been where you are. He knows what it's like, coming into all of this. ~~And I'm part of the reason why you're~~ It's no problem, I'm sure.
