I've heard you're here too brother. In fact you'll be pleased to know I was asked was I Tyrion's brother.

Are you in this 'complex' too?

So I saw. It was shortly after they informed you that whoring is apparently illegal here, so not quite the best day ever, but close.

For the moment. I think we should head with all speed towards this 'Las Vegas' instead.

They said it happens though, I'm sure there are ways around such legalities?

You would. I'd personally rather get my bearings here before venturing further. Do you have any way to even get to Las Vegas?

There inevitably are.

Do not trouble me with technicalities, Jaime. I thought you knightly sorts were supposed to have a sense of adventure.

And so we'll find them.

How would you intend to get there? They don't seem to travel by horse. And we 'Knightly sorts' also have a sense of reality dear brother

We? My dear brother, you mean to say you will be indulging? How very unlike you. Our sister would be shocked.

I am sure one of the charming locals would explain their systems of transport if I asked.

I don't believe I have any Kings to guard in this America as our dear nephew has not yet revealed himself. And what would they call me, oathbreaker, how new and different for them.

Probably. But really, you want to spend your time in this war we've found ourselves in drinking and gambling and whoring?

Silly question, of course you do.

Excuse me for a moment. I need to purge myself of the image of Joffrey declaring himself the King of America.

Now, where were we? Drinking and gambling and whoring, I believe?

Well you see, Jaime, this damned inconsiderate portal deposited me with neither arms nor armour, otherwise you know I would be scrambling eagerly towards the battleline and... No, that's your thing, isn't it?

The boy has time yet to learn, Tyrion, and our sister to teach him, lets give him a chance shall we? I'm sure she'll rid him of any Baratheon influence soon enough.

I've been informed that all chosen have their place in this fight and it seems we both have. Perhaps there is more to it than arms and armour, but I'll leave that up to you to work out.

Given how long she has had and how little influence that is I am positively filled to the brim with confidence.

How very kind of you, brother. If you're right and this place values brain as much as brawn it should strive to be more accommodating: it's no secret that I do all my best thinking from between the thighs of a comely wench or two.

I take it this stern and brooding turn of yours means you've decided to do the proper thing and involve yourself?

I'm willing to give him a chance. Neither of the Kings I've served have been worthy of the name.

Well there's that about it. We'll find you your wench. I'm going to continue to talk to those here, find out where we've found ourselves.

I have. It seems like we are under threat as much as anyone. And I have family to defend here.

History always teaches us that very few men are. Then again, you always were a poor student.

'Lawrence'. In the state (which is something like a kingdom except there are no kings here; apparently they had one once, from an island across the sea, but the natives drove him off because they didn't want to drink any more tea) of Kansas, which is one of a number of states making up America. It really isn't that difficult.

It shouldn't really surprise me that Cersei is too damn stubborn to learn how to use one of these computing devices being discrete, should it?

So who would you see on the Iron Throne? I've sat there brother, it doesn't strike me as any kind of a prize.

They warred over tea? That seems a little extreme, one hopes they have a better reason this time round.

Cersei isn't here, she'd have made herself known by now. I meant you.

It really doesn't matter who sits on the accursed thing, does it? The King will always need money, and father will be there to provide it. If Robert's Rebellion taught us anything it's that there is no slight so grave that a shower of gold cannot bury it.

So it would seem; they have some strange customs.

Careful, Jaime. Keep saying nice things and you'll make me cry.

It matters. Yes the Lannisters will always have their place in court and yes Joffery will wind up seated on it when Robert finally fucks the wrong boar or shoots the wrong whore.

That they do. Some boy told me to stop being so polite to the women. I expect I made him look bad.

You're family. What else is there?

What a charming turn of phrase you have, brother.

Really? It seems my experience has been quite the opposite. The women cannot be polite enough. One even attempted to apologise for every slight against dwarves ever enacted. It's truly extraordinary.

Would you be awfully upset if I said 'Vegas'?

Well am I wrong?

Some of them, perhaps except the one I mistook for a whore.

Not upset. Or surprised. You're very much set on this in spite of our lack of money aren't you. Incidently, lack of money. I've never said that before.

Did I suggest that you were?

Clearly I simply associate with a better, if slightly less fun, class of people. We should trade.

Yes, well, that. It's unnatural, is what it is. Can you imagine what our father would say if he knew we were penniless? How on earth is one supposed to cope without the stuff?

I suppose you didn't.

We've been here a day. I'm not sure how we've wound up associating with different classes of people.

I'm mostly imagining what he'll say with neither of us there. He won't take it well.

"Suppose" nothing.

It is probably more by luck than judgement; I have always been lucky when it comes to finding interesting companions, and you no doubt showed impeccable judgement and didn't threaten anyone with your wrath when you arrived, correct?

Your absence? No. Probably not. I doubt he will notice I am missing long enough to count it a stroke of luck.

I didn't threaten anyone actually. Well, I apparently threatened a metal thing someone was travelling in, but it was all explained in time.

You're still his son Tyrion. We weren't just going to leave you in that Stark woman's captivity

Which is to say that you were planning a suitably foolhardy and daring rescue attempt and he was going along with it to save face. Regardless, it doesn't really matter now.

I suppose it doesn't matter now, no.

I did fight Ned Stark on your behalf? Which was fun until one of my guards decided to dishonour the fight.

Which isn't to say I'm not grateful, you know. Staying with that ghastly Lysa was enough to get me thanking those gods neither of us believe in that you had the good sense not to marry the woman, and you know how outbreaks of devotion make me itch.

I trust you had the good sense to stop short of making Catelyn a widow as well as a nursemaid.

Oh don't remind me. That would have been....messy. Lucky the Kingsguard proved a more attractive prospect.

Of course. I mearly wanted to prove a point. Killing Ned Stark would start a War with the North that none of us need or want right now.
