Life had no color, no vibrancy anymore without his Sage in it. She made him want to be a better man, made him a better man, and was his beautiful, genius goddess and now she was gone. And it was his fault. No matter what anyone said, it was his fault. If he hadn't lost the phone, she would have been safe. He needed to get out of his apartment. Classes at Carlton were great and all but he needed other distractions.
You never should have gone on the pills... a voice floated through his mind. He sighed, doing his best to ignore his dead aunt's voice. The pills had kept her away but now she was back in full force and constantly pestering him. Even if it wasn't really her given she was dead.
"Shut up Aunt Tatiana." Deciding to go for a drive to clear his head, he grabbed his keys and, without thinking, the small statue of Hopper. He slipped the dragon into his pocket and went down to his 1967 Mustang and got in. Throwing the car into gear he began driving, not paying attention to where he was going, just enough to not hit anything or anyone (Sage would never forgive him if the car got damage). So when the scenery changed he didn't immediately notice at first. Until he nearly plowed into a gravestone.
"What the hell!?" He was glad the brakes were working and got out of the car, looking around in confusion. He wasn't drunk or even that out of it to have ended up in a cemetary without realizing...right? He tugged his phone out and quickly did a GPS location to see where the hell he was. His eyes widened when he saw.
You think fate was going to be kind and just let you stay in the same world as your human while she suffers? Tatiana asked with a laugh.
"No...I cannot be back in Lawrence!!!!" He unbuckled himself and shoved the door open and got out, looking around and squinting against the sun. Shutting the car door he began walking around, sliding the keys into his pocket while his other hand slipped into his pocket to hold the statue of Hopper for comfort. "Hello? Anyone here?"
