He smiled when Hopper returned to his animated state. "Hold on to him," he murmured. He shifted out from under her and knelt down. He tugged her close and picked her up, using a bit of Spirit to help push them both up so he was on his feet with her in his arms. "I had a feeling they were drugging you. Every day I'd try periodically to find you in your dreams but there was nothing. I couldn't get to you."
He carried her over to the car as he walked. Carefully shifting her, he tugged the back door open and slid her into the back seat so she could lay down easier. He moved back over and got the jacket that had fallen off of her when he had picked her up. Carrying it back over, he draped it over her form. "Sleep Sage. You're safe. I'm here and nothing is taking you from me." He carefully shut the door and got into the front before he tugged a half eaten candy bar out and unwrapped it. He leaned back and placed it in her lap.
He knew it was probably too rich for her to eat but Hopper could eat it so he could get his strength back up. That was his hope at least.
