Who:Jack Landors and Sam Winchester
What: random meeting!
When: Wednesday evening. ARRIVAL.
Where: in the city, a coffee shop.
Warnings: should be none.
To say that Jack was having a bad day would be the understatement of the year. The current threat to his world was gone. Done. Deleted. OVER. Finito. The world at that moment was safe. He'd just about signed the paperwork, and left S.P.D. Got the hell out of Dodge before something else big and bad could come along. And now where was he? Apparently in the Land of Big and Bad. His face was set in a scowl as he stomped his way down the crowded streets. Dressed in his red and black S.P.D.street uniform which turned some heads and had Jack muttering the entire length of the street until he reached a crossing curb and calmed down slightly. Go figure. He didn't even have a change of clothes on him yet. He hated the uniform. It was all scratchy and hot and stood out in a crowd. Unzipping the long sleeve jacket he tied it around his waist and sighed. Taking in a much needed breath. Watching cars fly past while he waited for a street sign to change.
Jack pulled out his Delta Morpher. It was sort of like your all purpose customized black berry, and tried to call home. Flipping open the miniature computer he glared at it's screen which was normally a two way monitor. "Commander?" blip. Jack hated that sound. That sound of no service. The morpher was gripped tightly in his hand, he was thankful the thing was made out of super titanium or whatever Kat had called it otherwise had it been a phone or anything else it probably would have shattered. "Maybe this is all just a dream, and sign that I shouldn't eat pizza before bed." Jack said to nobody in particular looking up at the sky as if for some kind of answer.
The sensors on the morpher made all kinds of noises, trying to pick up any sort of signal. Of coarse it didn't. it was all off the charts. In every direction. Jack was about twenty six years in the past, but hey it was worth a shot. The morpher in his hand he turned and walked toward the coffee store behind him. "At least the GPS still works. It can find the important things.." it bleeped again when the ranger sat down at a window seat. Tapping a few of the buttons on the slender screen a large three dimensional holographic map of the entire city appeared. "..Kansas of all the places they had to send him. Why couldn't it have been Hawaii?
