Sam wasn't going to say anything. He was going to keep walking, minding his own business without question. There were plenty of people in the world who often spent time talking to themselves - this boy was not the first that Sam had seen do so. Just another...interesting person in a large city filled with all sorts of people. He had slid a hand into his pocket, moving into the coffee shop with a decided need for caffeine. The way this week was going to be, Sam figured that he'd need it. The beginnings of a prank war had erupted between himself and his brother and Sam had no idea as to how long it was going to last or what it was that Dean was planning to use against him. He had to be ready and that meant that Sam had to be awake.
Clearly, the awake part was in order. Hearing the boy speaking to himself again, Sam glanced over his shoulder, realizing that he, too, had entered the coffee shop. Sam would have shrugged and kept going on like before, but the sight of a map lurching out of the boy's phone stopped him. Scratching at the back of his neck, Sam tried to see if anyone else within the shop had noticed the spectacle as well. A few heads had turned, verifying that he hadn't gone insane as well.
Sam slipped out of his place in line, moving to approach the boy cautiously. He didn't know who he was, but technology that advanced - Sam had never seen anything like it, after all - could not be ignored. Perhaps he was new? From the future, even?
