Who: Amy Peterson and Priestly
What: Road tripping and grabbing something to eat
When: Tuesday, around 8PM
Where: The van and eventually a restuarant
Warnings: None, really. Will update if that somehow changes.
It had seemed like Amy and Priestly had gone off on their road trip at either the exact right or exact wrong time. Back in Lawrence things were really going crazy. Moriarty was off getting people strapped up in vests of explosives, then sending them off with clues for Sherlock, one of them being Lois Lane. Amy felt like kicking herself for not being around for Lois. After all, it was Lois who had given her sound advice when she needed it and offered Amy a place to stay after the incident with Peter had shaken her sense of security in her own apartment. In the van Amy had taken the time to send Lois a message. It was her version of a 'get well' and also a promise that, when things settled down, they would go out and have lunch someplace.
The stress had Amy feeling hungry and her eyes were peeled, watching for any restaurant she and Priestly might come across in their travels. It could have been McDonald's or some tiny, family-owned place. She didn't really care too much about where they ate. She just knew that she had to silence the growling of her stomach. Amy shook the large plastic cup that had once held a smoothie, hoping that there was something left inside. No such luck.
"Are you hungry yet?" She looked over to Priestly in the van's driver's seat with a small smile. The expression was there more to provide comfort. Amy knew that he was worried about the state of things in Lawrence just as much as she was. Lois had told her to try and have some fun on the road trip, but it was difficult with them knowing all that was going on in their absence. She almost felt guilty about having any fun. Maybe sitting down and eating with Priestly could get the more morbid things off of her mind, at least for a brief period of time.
