Ginny had been baking all day. Oh, she knew that there were crazy things going on, what with people randomly having the wrong gender, but she couldn't be bothered by that. After realizing that she had accidently hexed Steph thinking she was Malfoy, Ginny had apologized and tried to sleep once returning to her flat. And while she hadn't gotten much sleep, she had gotten some. Then upon waking, she had made her little announcement on the boards so no one freaked out even more at the explosions that were bound to come up and gotten herself to baking.
It was an adventure if anything. Ginny was fine when it came to potions and charms and spells and transfiguration, but apparently she did not have her mother's gift of cooking. Though, trying to match Molly Weasley's cooking skill would be ridiculous. No one could match that. Still, would it be too much to ask that she at least inherit some of it? Because Ginny really didn't want to poison Neville on his birthday. Or un-birthday. Who knew given apparently he'd already had his birthday in their actual time line. But Ginny didn't remember it therefore, she was celebrating it here on the day that matched up with his birthday back home. And as she didn't have money here to get him something he'd like, that left baking. So what if she had probably managed to explode every single kitchen appliance in the kitchen? Or that she managed to get everything covered in flour? She simply used Reparo and Scourify and once she had finally succeeded in baking non-charred edible cookies, the kitchen looked brand new, nothing out of place.
That done, Ginny placed the cookies on a plate and made her way to Neville's flat, letting herself in and all but skipping into the living room, face singed and hair and clothes covered in flour.
"Happy Birthday, Neville!"
Ginny was quite proud of herself, having managed to bake edible cookies. So what if she was so excited by this achievement that she didn't change into something less flour covered or such?
