Premise:
We are a small played-by roleplay community set in the developing city of Casa Grande, Arizona. Our group consists of an open-minded and diverse ensemble of writers with an even more varied cast of characters. The community allows a broad spectrum: from your everyday girl-next-door or high school jock to a Victoria's Secret employee or NBA star. Regardless, you must be realistic when devising your applicant. Our emphasis is on character development and we offer an opportunity to delve deep into that person you have always wanted to play without the distractions of supernatural talents or global collapse. April really is the cruelest month. On April 1, 2013, a doctor in Hartford, Connecticut recorded the first case of a new strain of superflu, a virus that both dehydrated and asphyxiated the infected. Within a month, this “blue fever” had reached pandemic levels, killing nearly half of the world’s population. Chaos reigned.

It’s been two months since the outbreak and now only a handful of survivors remain, an unlucky few who are mysteriously immune to the plague. But the world has changed since March - there is no government, no community, and no technology that doesn’t operate on batteries. The remainders of humanity may be immune to the virus, but in a world where survival is a daily struggle, the virus was only the beginning...

What if the kids of New Directions never met in high school, but in college instead? Welcome to William McKinley University in Lima, OH. Performing may have been a passion in high school, but does it stand up to the pressures of college and preparing for the world beyond Lima?

All the While is a Glee college AU set at the fictional William McKinley University, where the familiar faces of New Directions and their friends and rivals can be re-imagined as college students -- older, and presumably wiser, everyone is just trying to find themselves before they're thrust into this 'real world' that everyone keeps talking about.

Heaven and Hell are real, defined places that characters are allowed to visit (characters are player even if they die) and can discover a richly-detailed universe with full lore. Fifty years after the world’s first superpowered battles, the Superpowered Americans Registration Act is going strong, rounding up those with these gifts and setting them to work for their country and fellow citizens. Department 74, centered in Wayland City, stands as a testament of heroic accomplishment -- and of civil rights abuse. The men and women worshipped as ‘heroes’ are little more than prisoners, soldiers trained to give all they have to fight crime, or to suffer the consequences of desertion.

But the crime syndicate Apex rules these streets, and they have powers of their own -- both super, and mundane -- and they have no intention of going down without a fight. Behind a corporate mask, they strike from the shadows, building their own army with the same mantra: join us, or die.

And for those willing to take that chance? The heroes outside of the law, and the villains out for their own ends? Every day is a battle. A game of cat and mouse where the rodent is sorely outnumbered, outgunned, and out of luck. Still. Better to die free, than as a puppeted coward.

[info]dominomods is an Original-character Superhero roleplaying game, taking the idea of heroes and villains and exploring the theme of an extended civil war and its effect on the populace. The themes of freedom, safety, peace and conflict, the opposing forces of light and dark, and the idea of what measures are called for in times of war will all be questioned, examined, and turned on their head. In the end, the work of the characters involved and the ends to which they are willing to go, are the only things that will decide the world’s ultimate fate.
