Life changed in 1930 for every wizard and witch in London. Gellert Grindelwald killed Albus Dumbledore on a muggle street and rose to power. Nothing is like it should be. It wasn't long before Grindelwald extended his power to the muggle world as well as the magical world. Halfbloods, muggleborns, and even muggles live in fear. Breaking boundaries and rewriting old laws, he controlled everything he could see. Unhappy with just that, he stretched his power, spanning countries.

The Class of the Chrysanthemum rose early against the dark dictator, only to be broken into factions when their leader, Cassiopeia Black, met her untimely death at the end of Grindelwald's wand. Still the Class of the Chrysanthemum fought on in factions, not knowing who to trust.

It's war, but no one seems to know it.

Set seventy years after his initial take over in 2000, the new millennium, some people still hold hope for the future, but some have given up entirely.

The game officially begins May 1st.

Wanda Maxinoff went insane when she had found out that she couldn't have children and started to play with realties where she could. Magneto worked with Charles Xaiver and Dr. Strange to help cure Wanda of the delusions she was having but she was starting to become very, very dangerous. Meanwhile Charles Xaiver and the X-Men called a meeting with the Avengers to talk about possibly killing Wanda to save the world. There was a lot of arguing but in the end they did agree on killing Wanda, unfortunately Quicksilver overheard the whole conversation and ran back to warn Wanda convincing her to create a universe where Mutants were in control and the family Magnus ruled supreme.

The world went white and no one at all remembered what life was like before this utopia was created except for Wolverine and Layla Miller. What if Wolverine and Layla Miller never came to the conclusion that there was something wrong? What if they never went around waking people up from this wonderful mutant utopia where the House of Magnus ruled?

Our goal is to bring the 'old GJ feeling' back. We're focusing highly on character development, player involvement and player driven storylines.

Every version of the story is different. The conversations, the tiny details; they're all told in their own way, with different twists and turns and points delivered to properly execute the tale. The story has changed over time, repeatedly leading those belonging to different cultures with opposing beliefs clashing over the subject for hundreds upon hundreds of years. In the end, however, the story never really matters. It's the name, the significance, the idea of what he represents that strikes nothing short of pure terror into the heart of man.

Lucifer. The fallen.

As the angels tell it, it was his refusal to bow to humanity that brought on his fate. He believed that the angels were better, finding God's favoritism toward the mortal beings that walked the earth to be nothing short of distasteful. In turn, Lucifer chose to rebel by wickedly twisting a human into a demon. Rather than bringing forth the change in order as he had hoped, Lucifer instead found himself being punished by God for his disobedience. Delivered from the heavens, Lucifer was forced into a new home - a seemingly impenetrable cage trapped within the fiery depths of Hell. Six hundred seals bound Lucifer to his cage. Six hundred. Only sixty-six, if done correctly, would be required to break in order to free Lucifer from damnation.

Thousands of years later, as prophesied, a righteous man shed blood in Hell. Against the torment that found him in the pits, Dean Winchester began to crumble. The very first seal was quick to follow, breaking the pathway to all others like it open to those who sought to free the fallen from his chains at last. Demons began to rise up, led by Lilith - Lucifer's First, the very human that he twisted into a demonic form that brought forth his own downfall - to break the seals. At the same time, perhaps the first in thousands of years, angels too began to route themselves toward the seals to oppose any and all who dared attempt to destroy them. A silent battle, unknown to most of humanity, waged on between the angels and demons.

In the middle of it all, stood two brothers. Each with a role to play, both with the best of intentions at heart. With the angels pushing at one side and a demon guiding the other, the Winchester brothers, too, fought against the demons, steadily gunning their way toward Lilith. The Winchesters were key players in the struggle between Heaven and Hell. That had been anticipated from the beginning. What no one expected was for the impossible to occur: while bordering a little ways short of the halfway point, Lilith destroyed the thirtieth seal and, upon doing so, unknowingly shattered a barrier between worlds.

Soon afterward, people from those worlds began to appear out of thin air.

Hey, I’m Matt and after a short hiatus from journal play I’m back, looking to get some epic lines going. I’ve been around writing and role-playing on AOL since 1995, before Marvel Sim Chat was destroyed and the superheroes were forced to break bread with the RhyDin-ites. I kid; Anyway my time and experience role-playing has given me a lot of insight into what’s important.

I care about providing a story worth reading and have fun in the process. We all come here for a reason, to escape and relax, to see the way our fandom should have turned out, or even just to improve our creative level. The options and original lines I promised above are available here. Collaborating through discussion is also something I don't mind doing. We're a new asylum that brings original characters together with cannon characters, this is a panfandom RP. The only restrictions on the 'OC' are the play bys. We can't have our cannon characters running into themselves, it would be weird, and might send them to the medic because of a major freak out. We can't have that. Not that we don't welcome weird moments, we love those! But that would be just a little too much... If you enjoy the experience and want to become a permanent, you're welcome to apply for one of the cannon characters that are not taken. Before you, Bella,
We all know the story of New Moon, but what if things didn't end the way that they did?

The year is 2005, and emotions are running high. Edward left Bella in a state of heartbreak and confusion, which only pushed her closer to Jacob Black. Even after learning about Jacob's little secret, Bella found that she couldn't keep herself away from him. He had become her best friend and the source of light in her life, and eventually feelings began to develop between the two of them. Meanwhile, Edward stayed away from Bella as he had promised her, and therefore couldn't see how broken she had been during his absence. It was only after Bella's cliff-diving mistake that her life began to turn upside down again. Rosalie told Edward that Bella had died, which forced him to make an irrational decision to go to Italy and face the Volturi. Alice came to check on Charlie, and instead found Bella alive and well when Jake had taken her to her house.

But what if Bella had never gone to Italy? What if Edward returned to Forks the day after Alice came to check up on Chief Swan because he just had to see the truth for himself? And what if the recent murders in Seattle reached Edward's ears once Carlisle found out about them? Will the battle against this new threat be the greatest one of their lives, or will the task that Edward has to face in order to get Bella to believe him be greater?

You can't handle this place

Welcome to Obsidian City where the sun never shines, the crime never sleeps and love never dies.

A dark city in all sense of the word, Obsidian City is lucky to see one day of sunshine. If the city is dark at night, it isn't much better during the day. Too much smog and cloud blocks out the half decent light that struggles in between the skyscrapers. People make do though, possibly a little angrier than those who live under the undivided sun, a little more miserable, a little more hopeless. This is no city for the weak, and it certainly isn't a tourist hot-spot.

Obsidian City was never a shining city on the hill, it was built and born as if already crumbling down. Beneath the heavy, dark clouds that rarely seem to let up, lies a sprawling mecca of theft, corruption and greed. It really is no wonder that in such sunlight starved streets, there is little light to be had in the city’s inhabitants. Each jewel-named district hardly lives up to its name: The Ruby District, a self-sufficient community of its own, ruled by whores, who are the law. The rich are safely tucked away in The Onyx Towers, far from their poorer brethren, the utterly impoverished who languish in the Ivory Narrows.

Outside of The Ruby District, where the only laws are their laws, it is not the oft corrupt and always under funded police force that holds the most sway in the run of Obsidian City. No, the city is divided up and controlled by three major crime families, in close environs that seem to speak of a constant threat of war between two or more of the ruling families.

The Russians led by the Petrovskii Family, from their base of operations, Duma, an upscale nightclub known for its beautiful women and for the illegal deals made in dark back rooms, lord over the Diamond District. The Irish led by the O'Donnell Family, from the Irish pub that the first O'Donnell to come to America founded, long ago, loud and busy and full of their history, control the Emerald District. The Italians led by the Pavoni Family, from their Italian family restaurant in the center of the Topaz district, and come with as much flourish and ceremony in both their illegal deeds and their lifestyle.

The Families are not the only ones that the populace should fear, as there have been recent whispers that there is a serial killer preying upon the inhabitants of the city, lurking in the shadows and bringing death with them.

As if the population of Obsidian City didn't have enough on their plate, they now need to look over their shoulder at every step.

And so do you.

WEST 57TH - THE SALISBURY HOTEL

Once, Compound One - comprised primarily of the Salisbury Hotel - the safest place to live in New York - possibly in the Infected wasteland of the United States. It is steadily becoming a prison to its inhabitants, a nation-state under the martial law of one zealous man. Those who remain try to stay alive amid the tyranny and injustice of the man who only seeks to "keep them safe" in Compound One. Residents disappear if they subvert - but to where? Are they cast out to battle with the cannibalistic horde? Or are the rumors of the Underground Railroad true? What of whispers of a cure for the Infection? Some survivors are too grateful for the relative safety to question - relieved, at last, to not have to fight for food, water, and shelter. Others remember a better time, when the safe zone was protected by a man with principle...

MANHATTAN WATERWAYS - THE ARMADA

The refugees, lead by Rory Teague, have found permanent solace on a fleet of sailboats. They are afforded mobility and relative freedom, after nearly a year on the run from the Dictator of the Salisbury. Teague, former leader of Compound One, still gathers survivors out of the city into this new water-borne life. But the refugees are never idle - their friends and loved ones remained trapped inside the walls of Compound One. With the knowledge that his people are safe for now, if trapped, Teague works to lay plans for his expanding armada. But the conflict with the Salisbury is never at rest for long - a war brews across the city. And help may come from the most unexpected of places...

Why should we be taking these stupid emails seriously? They're emails, for f---'s sake, and some anonymous hero trying to enlighten the masses doesn't exactly inspire trust. With Voldemort gone from the world and his Death Eaters left without a figure of authority, the Wizarding world was given another chance at happiness. The Question, however, was if the magical world was capable of recovering from the deep seated wounds that had been inflicted upon it. Discontent, mistrust, and pre-conceived notions of previous generations held a firm grip on society. Even in the bright light of victory, the Wizarding world struggled to find it's feet, a gap growing between it's various people. The wealthy sought the wealth, Purebloods continued to seek their own, and prejudice ran rampant.

When things appeared at their bleakest in the summer of 2000, a Ministry approved social project was launched in the hopes of restoring the balance: Cupid Anonymous. The hopes of the Ministry were to create a medium through which individuals would be able to meet and converse free from prejudice and negative notions. The journals created for this project were seen as the stepping stones needed to bridge the gap created by war.

Since their introduction, the journals have helped create several strong and lasting friendships but their work is hardly complete. There are still many individuals who have not yet loosened their hold on the past and sought to embrace the future.

Miranda wasn't the first, last, or only cover-up the Alliance was involved in ...

When the crew of Serenity blew the lid on the Miranda Mistake, the Alliance was ... careful, for a little while. Late in 2519, they discovered how to rupture reality. They essentially punched holes through time and space through which they could draw residents of other planets, other realities, other times. Their initial work was clumsy, amateurish, but as time rolled on they got better. They could aim their holes more accurately, draw in specific figures for their experiments.

In 2520, rebel Independent troops gathered together to try to put a stop to the experiments the Alliance was performing. They didn't know about the compounds on Iota, the buildings scattered through Peace Ridge, Devil's Divide, and Bearclaw Marsh ... but they knew about other things.

The Alliance's experiments were beginning to fray at the edges, to come undone, and it wasn't long before disaster struck. The residents of Compound Two were originally located in Wolf Canyon before they were discovered and raided. The survivors (with one exception) were relocated to Devil's Divide where the experiments continued in their new hiding place.

Beyond the Black is a panfandom game set in the Firefly/Serenity universe.
