"Did you ever have one of those lives?"
You inhabit a fantastical universe where anything can happen. Super powered beings exist, and living a sane life is no easy feat for anyone. In such an extraordinary world, an average day can be ruined by the strangest of threats; be it viral zombies, megalomaniacal criminals or assassination attempts. All just part of a normal day in a very abnormal world. You don’t even glance up at the shrill whine of sirens or the roar of a giant monster a few blocks over. In the sky above a caped character is flying towards the fray; a member of some super hero team or perhaps a lone vigilante. Maybe the monster is a mythical creature or an invading alien or a minion of the latest super villain. A van is hurled down the street followed by another angry howl but you go casually about your business- buy your newspaper, sip your latte- and mutter cynically to yourself,

"oh_marvelous."

Oh Marvelous is an age 18+, social, thread based, third person, AU Marvel RPG played in real time (quite a mouthful). The game is set in present day. Although the game is New York centered, action takes place in locations all over the world. Plot is primarily player driven with occasional inclusive plots that affect the entire game. This game does not follow any set timeline or particular Marvel continuity. That means that pretty much anything goes.

	Within two years, the whole of wizarding society has become unrecognizable. In the end, Voldemort fell at the hands of Harry Potter, but the victory was not without severe consequences. With the smoke clearing and wizarding England in ruins, the first survivors began to slowly show their faces and began to return to their lives. But after years of knowing or ignoring the darkness, it might not be as easy as they'd like to return to the light. Return to Hogwarts. Return to the place of the final battle and see what the war has left behind. Students returning will be shocked to realize that their houses were destroyed and they must unite for the reconstruction effort. Gryffindors in Slytherin house? Ravenclaw in Hufflepuff? How can prejudices be forgiven so easily?

	Three years of relative peace have passed. The boys graduated from Spenser Academy and looked into colleges around the States. Reluctant to go their separate ways, they nevertheless understood the need to pursue their own lives. They stayed in touch. Kept up with who was dating who, who’d been dumped by who, who had scored with who. Who was passing what, who needed help to keep from failing what. They always came home between semesters and over summers. This break though, Caleb has a feeling that something’s wrong. That something’s coming. And he’s right. Three years ago, he defeated Chase Collins at the former site of Putnam Barn. The barn was destroyed by the resulting fire, and no body was ever found. No one knew what had become of Chase Goodwin Pope-Collins. …until now. Returning from his three year stint in Hell, Chase is pissed. He’s not alone, either – in his epic escape from Hell, he managed to rift time and space, opening gaps to other worlds … and letting people from all across time, space, and reality into Ipswich.

PREMISE
The country lies in ruin. After a nuclear holocaust meant to cleanse the land of the infection upon it, a Quarantine remains enforced by international powers. Trapped in their own burnt land, with none to aid them, what remains of the once majestic United States has been reduced to ash and blood. But even after the blast clears, and those brave few survivors emerge from their shelters, a horrific realization awaits: despite the bombs, despite the waste that has eaten the landscape, the infection has survived. Virulent and strong, it spreads viciously through the land again. Now, those left behind must run for their lives from these grasping creatures. Two years after the creation of Compound One, the refugees find themselves in the midst of civil war. Threat of death from their fellow man now equals the infection. As the bounty on their heads grows higher with every passing day, those still trapped in the Compound struggle to achieve basic human rights under the new leadership regime. There are desperate attempts to move the imprisoned to freedom - even if safety is now impossible. And a core group of heroic survivors attempts to start life anew, under some semblance of civilization. But as the realities of life press down harder than ever before, these basic tenets of survival in New York have finally been accepted: The Quarantine will never be lifted. The refugees can never go home. Compound Two will be constructed.

The Wizarding World has seen its fair share of suffering, such as the reign of Lord Voldemort that occurred not once, but twice. But, as it was foreseen, good triumphed over evil and the world gained peace. It seemed to be everlasting for witches and wizards everywhere, a great relief to those who feared the worst in the midst of rebuilding. Twenty-five years later, someone now threatens to destroy the peace that has come to be, though not in such a way that would strike fear in the general public. It's much worse: Hogwarts has a new Headmaster and the students aren't going to like him.

Tiberius Ogden was just appointed the position of Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry during the summer, the former Headmaster, Matthew Harrison, having abruptly retired when he suddenly came upon a very large sum of money. The Ogden name is famous for its liquor, though Tiberius has no interest in making drunks out of his peers. No, Tiberius Ogden followed another path, one of strict behavior that came with wielding a firm hand rather than a tap. A retired Hit Wizard, Tiberius has known a life of hardship and determination and believes that today's youth are becoming weak-minded prats. As a way to change this, he quickly took up the position Headmaster Harrison wished to discard.

Students will be in for quite the shock when they return to school to have their yearly start of term feast. Not only are they receiving a new Headmaster, but he comes with a whole new set of rules - rules so numerous in count that a book of them was created - something each student will find at their seat.

1978 ...

No one is safe.

Frequent attacks and disappearances have rippled through the Wizarding World with no clear connection or reason. Scholars, children and Ministry officials are being picked off at random leaving fear in the wake of destruction and death as Lord Voldemort ascends to power. The Ministry is hard pressed to end the struggle as Death-Eaters watch their every internal move so closely that resistance is nearly futile.

The world is dividing, and there is little way of escaping it as loyalties shift beneath the feet of the innocent.

But life goes on amidst the atrocities; people fall in love, get married and try to adapt to a world of war. In the shadows there are some who would fight back. The Order of the Phoenix is hardly more than a fleeting thought of revolution, but as Death-Eaters gain influence amongst the fragile minds within the castle, students have begun taking the fight into their own hands.

Which side will you choose, and who will succeed?

Solemnly Sworn finds the Wizarding world in the year of 1977, and follows a canon timeline with allowances for crack plot. In the lingering months of the Marauders 7th Year, they prepare for their freedom in the midst of a progressing war. A Death Eater has been appointed Minister of Magic, and foul play is surely at hand as the previous Minister has yet to be found. Disappearances have become a part of everyday life…and no one can be certain who will be next.
