I have two female roles that I need filled for [info]sons_of_cain:

1. Lycan- Werewolf- Female- Sister to [info]howling_sky: Her name is Julia and she is from the same litter as my boy and her other sister [info]cerahdavis. She has a half-brother and a younger brother as well. My character is the Chancellor over the lycans and so she would need to be somewhat serious and would be kind of an important role.

2. Lycan- Undecided- Female- Sister to [info]starley: Her name is Evangeline and she is the younger sister to my character. She used to be human but was turned into a lycan (what kind doesn't really matter). My character has been turned into a vampire and they haven't seen each other for a very long time.

The Forbidden Forest seems more sinister, the grounds seem twisted at times, and often it's hard to tell if you've woken up from the nightmare of last year at all. Did you really lose all those friends to different 'terrorist' acts? No, this has to be happening to your parents, not you. This has to have all just been a nightmare...

There is an apartment building in New York called 'Bellum Letale.' Most people ignore its auspicious name, though they would be advised to pay more attention to its meaning.

It is a strange building. It seems to be somehow bigger inside than out, with narrow passageways, intimidating doorways, and lovely corners that disappear and reappear at random. And its occupants are just as strange--from all over the world, from all walks of life, all of their lives have nudged them toward this building as if they were always meant to live there.

This is, of course, because they were. Every man, woman and child in the building is a reincarnated fable, the stories told to human children for hundreds, sometimes thousands of years. Once very real, the fables began to fade as science and reason dispelled the probability of their existence. They have all been reborn in human forms, though their essence remains, waiting to be awakened at the right time, in the right place.

Now is the time--Bellum Letale is the place. As their lives connect and weave together, as they follow their petty desires and chase love, they are, all of them, on the brink of disaster. Not just for them, but for the world at large. This world of science is in need of fables once more, even if the fables themselves do not yet know how much.

By order of the crown, 1891 sees the activation of a covert organisation accountable to the monarch. Formed in response to occult aspects of the Whitechapel murders, 'Royal Inquisitors' are tasked with elimination of supernatural threats to the interests of the British Empire. These crusading guardians are vested with the authority to root out occult elements that could corrupt society. Regarded with respect and fear by the few who know of them, they are a highly secretive order, dedicated to upholding civilisation against dark, primordial forces.

Unlike knights of old, they have access to the most radical technological advances of the era. Down the centuries, champions of light and dark have always waged war. Now, demons, vampires, witches, werewolves dhampir, ghosts of the damned and more find themselves on the same side, drawn together against an enemy using steam, iron and electricity.

For years man has been evolving, quietly and subtly, on the periphery of human awareness. In recent years these evolutionary mutations have taken on more extravagant and dangerous forms, attracting the attention of homo-sapiens. The humans do not like what they see. To make matter worse, many of these mutants have turned to villainy, terrorizing the public and affirming the fear and hatred towards mutants harbored by human race. Reactionary measures have been taken, most notably in America and Great Britain, requiring mutants to register with the governments.

Mutant organizations, some for good and some for evil, have sprung up all over the planet. In response to the growing threat of super-powered villains, the American S.H.I.E.L.D. organization has taken the initiative to produce the first government sanctioned “super-hero” the Avengers. Meanwhile, despite mounting public distrust, philanthropist Charles Xavier continues his efforts towards peaceful mutant-human relations with his X-Men and his school for young mutants in Westchester, New York. At the Muir Island research facility a subsidiary of the X-Men team has been formed by geneticist Moira MacTaggert, calling itself Excalibur. In contrast to these “heroes” the mutant called Magneto, disillusioned with an intolerant majority, has built the island haven of Genosha and formed the “activist” Brotherhood of Mutants. More groups are formed all the time, from devious government factions to would-be champions. Many mutants choose no affiliation, fighting the system as lone rebels or staying hidden in the shadows. In this politically and socially precarious world, how will you choose to live your life?

Welcome to your new home. Set in crime-ridden Dark City Treno, dominated by alcohol, drugs and weapons, this place is constantly immersed in a perpetual state of darkness. Heavy black clouds loom overhead, sometimes bringing rain but never breaking to let in the sun. The city has evolved to match its environment; business is shady, outlooks are bleak, and it is unclear whether there is still light behind the clouds at all. Even the brightest linings offer little hope. In the corner flower shop, full of carnations and spools of cheap ribbon, black market narcotics and hallucinogens change hands. The local pub, complete with Guinness on tap, reserves the back three tables for weapons dealers to do business. Criminals of all types seem drawn to the city, attracted to the dark environment the city offers.

Despite this, there is a murmur of hope amid the murky despair. A rebellion is forming, individuals determined to fight against the masses and bring good and order back into the city. However, the weather has not broken. With the dreary forecast constantly imposing upon the innocent civilians, the fight is predicted to be endless and futile.

Will you fight against the overwhelming corruption threatening to take over this already desolate city or join among its ranks?

William McKinley High School. In 1993, the Glee Club had just won Nationals. They had the world at their feet. They ruled the school. They couldn't have been considered cooler.

But now, it's 2009 and they haven't won anything for a very long time. And it's been a long time since the Glee Club was considered anything close to "cool." Now they're the bottom of the heap, the misfits of the school. No one has faith in them at all...but one man: Spanish teacher, Will Schuester. He basked in the glow of the '93 Glee Club and wants to return it to its former glory. Unfortunately, there are dark forces plotting against this grand scheme...namely, cheerleaders. Will the "gleeks" triumph or crash and burn? Only time will tell...

City Of Hills is an aim and thread friendly play by (PB)/city based community set in San Francisco, California. Writers of this community are promised creative control over their story lines. As long as things are kept realistic, there should not be an issue at all. We are a game that encourages diversity among characters and accept all types of play bys. This is a pretty basic city-wide game, although we do focus our residential selections around fourteen neighborhoods. This game also accepts characters of all ages.

The Society was founded just recently by an anonymous billionaire with a passion for history and archaeology. This mysterious founder has turned an English manor house into an astonishing headquarters equipped with the latest in technology blended with the charm and majesty of the past. Employees of the Society are the best and brightest in the fields of Archeology, Anthropology, Occult Studies, Mythology, and History. The society is also staffed with a brilliant technical and support personnel. Staff members are given housing on the grounds of the facility to better devote their time and effort to the case work the society takes on.
