The 1996-1997 school year ended with the death of Albus Dumbledore, but while he and Harry were uncovering the truth behind Lord Voldemort's immortality Lord Voldemort was himself in the final stages of a plan that would bring him that much closer to everlasting life.... To take over the Ministry of Magic. Break into the Department of Mysteries. And solve the mystery of the Veil -- the doorway between life and death. On 1 August 1997, a battle raged inside the Ministry as Death Eaters fought Aurors and Ministry officials for the control of the Ministry for Magic -- and the control of Wizarding England. The Order of the Phoenix found out hours too late, and by that time, Voldemort had won. The next day, the Daily Prophet announced that Lord Voldemort had declared himself Minister of Magic. The reaction was immediate, as countless witches and wizards fled the country. They, as the remaining magical population would soon discover, were the lucky ones. While St. Mungo's remains neutral and Gringotts Bank has taken a violently oppositional stance, the remaining wizarding institutions, including Hogwarts, have no choice but to go along with the Dark Lord's demands. While the Death Eaters have been running the country, slowly but surely destroying all that was good about wizarding society, Voldemort has been examining the veil. It didn't take long before he found a way out. Thus he entered through the veil to explore the realm of the dead. But what he didn't count on was that as he entered, someone was released. Looking exactly as they did the day they died, that soul, who was in stasis at the happiest time of their life, has no knowledge of current affairs or their life after that happiest moment. But they're back, and the only way out for them is to die again. But they don't remember death - they only remember life. Appearing in a discrete alleyway in the heart of Diagon Alley, they are lost, confused, and have no idea what to do. But soon after the first of the undead was discovered, those loyal to the Order have been carefully watching, making sure those who return are properly cared for and given the latest in wizarding communication: the journals. If they have family still alive, they are put in touch with them, and they do their best to readjust to life in 1997. But the question remains: what is Voldemort looking for beyond the veil? What is it that he thinks holds the key to immortality? Only time will tell, and if Voldemort discovers it before Harry Potter destroys the remaining Horcruxes, then the wizarding world will forever be subject to the Dark Lord's rule. |

When the Others came out to the world in 2003, the humans weren’t quite sure what to think. Suddenly, they weren’t alone in the world; they were no longer the most dominant species on the planet, though they still far outnumbered those with remarkable, unbelievable gifts. Werecreatures began to show themselves all around the globe, transforming in plain sight for all to see, the vampires not far behind. It didn’t take long for the remaining, mortal population to divide; some wanted to be like those they came to call Others, wanted into their worlds, some feared them and made their voices heard. Some refused to believe the revelation, even after it swept the media, printed in black and white and flashed across news bulletins worldwide. It didn’t take long for the humans to realise there were too many of them to just ignore. Tensions mounted, worried parents wondering if their children were safe with the ‘offspring’ of Others in the same schools as their precious boys and girls. Word quickly spread when a small handful of powerful politicians and one or two influential leaders came out to the world, announcing what they were. The Others were everywhere. Slowly but surely, everything began to ease; the humans started to settle, and following their example, those who had come clean relaxed, assured that their lives were not in danger. Time passed, and the Others began to pop up in every walk of life; musicians, teachers, store clerks, newsreaders. They really were everywhere. And yet, hidden among their own kind, those who were not quite supernatural and not quite normal hesitated on the threshold, on the verge of announcing themselves. Others were already treated warily, even five years down the line, but how would mortals react to their own kind being Gifted? Able to read thoughts undetected and burn strong buildings to the ground without accelerant or matches, the Gifted knew they would be feared perhaps even more than those able to shift into animals or drain the blood from mortals. So they lie in wait, keeping their powers hidden, waiting and watching, to see how the first chapter ends. Because if history has taught us anything, it is that division never truly goes away, and sooner or later, the shaky balance will be torn apart. | |

Available Characters | Taken Characters | Application Rules | Contact List | Friends Button | FAQ Everyone knows what happened the night Harry Potter and five other students fled Hogwarts to do battle at the Ministry of Magic. That was the night Sirius Black died, the night the Prophecy was destroyed, and the night the Ministry finally admitted that Voldemort had returned. But something else happened that night, something the Ministry never released. Many of the rooms in the Department of Mysteries were damaged, but the Time Turner room was completely destroyed. 1 July 1996. Exactly one week after that fateful night at the Ministry, a stranger arrives in the Department of Mysteries claiming to be from 24 February 1980. Only after Albus Dumbledore interviews this stranger do they realise that this was the night the Prophecy was made. With each day that passes, more people arrive, some who have been dead for the past sixteen years. No one can explain it, and no one can stop it. All they can do is wait and see who is next to arrive while they prepare to fight the war of their lives. |

Batman: Rogues' Gallery is a Nolan-verse RPG centered around the origins of Batman's greatest nemeses and focusing on Gotham's descent into crime, anarchy and madness. The story begins with the Joker's incarceration at Arkham Asylum following an elaborate plot against Gotham City. While inspired by Christopher Nolan's Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, the plot of this game deviates from the movie on a few key points (please see the premise and character list for more details). |
In the year 2010 the world was plagued by the full effect of Global Warming. No country was spared and no one could imagine the speed in which it came. Within months entire cities were underwater, drier than deserts, or completely leveled. Thousands died and there was no end in sight. Many lost hope until 2020 when the Eden Project was founded. The Eden Project was a last ditch effort by the human race. Surviving scientists came up with a chemical, a gas called 'Eden' that would hopefully cool the atmosphere enough to put a stop to the catastrophes happening around the world. Slowly but surely the temperature began to drop and the storms slowed. In the time between the beginning of the storms to the launch of the Eden Project, the world population had dropped from nearly seven billion to a little below five. It was another six years before the effect of the 'Eden' chemical was known. It began in 2028. There were suddenly less children being born and by the end of 2029, pregnancies stopped all together. The men and women of the world were now completely sterile. It was soon discovered that the Eden chemical was the cause of the sterilization, that the one thing that had saved the world had also doomed it to an inevitable ending, the population destined to dwindle down to nothing. The same lab that developed the Eden project has been working for the past nineteen years to reverse the devastating effects without destroying the now near perfect atmosphere of Earth. The Fruitful project was a serum, a cure that reversed the sterilization but only in people below the age of thirty. The Global Government is taking a drastic step to increase the population. The Governments of the world began to administer the serum by administering it to everyone as a vaccine at doctor's appointments. To further insure that the population will continue to grow and to 'usher in a new era of life', a global law has been put into place. A marriage law. The Fruitful Law. Every healthy, non-married person between the ages of nineteen and twenty-nine are to be married, whether by choice or by Government selection. The couple will have a one year period at the most after their marriage to conceive. The Fruitful project is for the betterment of our world. Who will be your match?
