Every version of the story is different. The conversations, the tiny details; they're all told in their own way, with different twists and turns and points delivered to properly execute the tale. The story has changed over time, repeatedly leading those belonging to different cultures with opposing beliefs clashing over the subject for hundreds upon hundreds of years. In the end, however, the story never really matters. It's the name, the significance, the idea of what he represents that strikes nothing short of pure terror into the heart of man. Lucifer. The fallen. As the angels tell it, it was his refusal to bow to humanity that brought on his fate. He believed that the angels were better, finding God's favoritism toward the mortal beings that walked the earth to be nothing short of distasteful. In turn, Lucifer chose to rebel by wickedly twisting a human into a demon. Rather than bringing forth the change in order as he had hoped, Lucifer instead found himself being punished by God for his disobedience. Delivered from the heavens, Lucifer was forced into a new home - a seemingly impenetrable cage trapped within the fiery depths of Hell. Six hundred seals bound Lucifer to his cage. Six hundred. Only sixty-six, if done correctly, would be required to break in order to free Lucifer from damnation. Thousands of years later, as prophesied, a righteous man shed blood in Hell. Against the torment that found him in the pits, Dean Winchester began to crumble. The very first seal was quick to follow, breaking the pathway to all others like it open to those who sought to free the fallen from his chains at last. Demons began to rise up, led by Lilith - Lucifer's First, the very human that he twisted into a demonic form that brought forth his own downfall - to break the seals. At the same time, perhaps the first in thousands of years, angels too began to route themselves toward the seals to oppose any and all who dared attempt to destroy them. A silent battle, unknown to most of humanity, waged on between the angels and demons. In the middle of it all, stood two brothers. Each with a role to play, both with the best of intentions at heart. With the angels pushing at one side and a demon guiding the other, the Winchester brothers, too, fought against the demons, steadily gunning their way toward Lilith. The Winchesters were key players in the struggle between Heaven and Hell. That had been anticipated from the beginning. What no one expected was for the impossible to occur: while bordering a little ways short of the halfway point, Lilith destroyed the thirtieth seal and, upon doing so, unknowingly shattered a barrier between worlds. Soon afterward, people from those worlds began to appear out of thin air. ♦ ♦ ♦ wariscoming is a Panfandom RPG that takes place within the universe of the Supernatural fandom. The game is based on the story arc of the fourth season, post all of the events that have occurred after episode twelve (Criss Angel Is A Douchebag). This is a brand NEW game with plenty of characters available. It is the nature of life to cycle. All things go in circles, from the helplessness of infancy to the helplessness of old age, from the role of daughter to mother, son to father. Human events cycle through peace and war over and over again. Hearts are broken and won by turns. Civilizations swell and then recede like tides through human history. Life continues. Stories, too, cycle. The strongest stories begin with people, who tell them to their children and their grandchildren. Sometimes stories are treasured over wealth, even worshiped as lifelines against the turning confusion of chance. Stories found societies and anchor families. They teach both young and old the value of life. They drive culture and reflect change. They also live.

People today cling to the real. They worship their own ambition and dismiss the stories of old as dusty, irrelevant pictures of times that no longer matter. Our world is not a world of stories, but a world of cheaply painted scenery and cardboard cutouts of heroes. No one has time for stories anymore. Yet some people who live today are much more than real. They are a generation of stories incarnate, gods and legends, fables and folklore. In these gray days of reality they find themselves unable to ignore their pasts, blessed or cursed with abilities and attributes impossible to explain in cold modernity. They are beginning to discover tangible relics of the past, items that still hold power even now. Through a journal page they are now discovering each other, and as the days pass it becomes more and more clear that stories, no matter how hard they try, will not be ignored.

bespelled We're looking for a few good men!

Er, mostly boys, actually. Bespelled is a high school horror game set in NYC, based around a fictional school for the elite. We need some boys! Popular, unpopular, gay, straight, cute and otherwise. The game is made up of excellent writers, friendly people, and strong characters, and we're looking to add more to those ranks!

Currently, we're not accepting applications for any more females. (: We're seeking balance in the game as it is. Sorry, ladies!

CONCEPT
At the dawn of the silver age of mutation, Erik Lehnsherr and Charles Xavier decided to band together in order to shelter young people, gifted just like themselves, from a world of prejudice. At the time, they both shared an ideal of mutants being able to coexist with the rest of society in peace. With these similar goals, they wished to give a sense of hope to the next generation. Using Xavier's ancesteral home, located at 1407 Greymalkin Lane, they planned to rescue and take care of those the world considered a growing problem--mutants. Remember, this is a time without cerebro, a time without the initial "Xavier's School for Higher Learning", without the danger room, and without the reputation of the famed X-Men. The basement is not yet covered in chrome. Field uniforms have not yet been sown. No, this is the very beginning. Charles and Erik are still great allies, where in the unjustified future, all of that could change. Their only goal now is to help individuals whom experience no control over their powers, with no desire to be what some would call a "freak". It is both men that wish to help these young adults know that being beyond the status of simply homo sapien is a godsend, a gift. Remaining at Xavier's, these adults whom most have graduated high school, are welcome to live. In an effort to control such talents, they would need to be under the watchful eyes of both Erik and Charles. The world does not yet know the name Magneto, does not yet fear the most renouned mutant terrorist that history will have to offer. There have been no threats to destroy the world, no celestial forces imposing themselves on adolescent girls. We take you back to a humbled beginning. Everything else is on the distant horizon.

GAME NOTES
Horizons will act somewhat as a group private storyline. No more than 10 / 13 or so muns will be accepted. No character limit. First come, first serve. The focus here is on writing! Writing and plot, the two best things in the world! We will be screening players, due to this number constraint! As a note, there is no activity requirements, just be active. We are seeking to make a sanctioned, safe, not so stressful, but still have great plot game where people can take characters they haven't played in a while and give them a new home. Want to test out a character you've never played before? we appreciate that as well, and in fact right in there with you. This is AU, and is a completely inspired modge podge of X-Men: first class, X-Men: the movie, and X-Men Evolution.

A young Erik Lehnsherr. (40's-50's) Villain characters, or not typical already matched "X-Men"; characters that could inevitably leave with Erik if there is a division. STORM! No one really plays her, I want her. Others include: White Queen, Phoenix, Shadowcat, Cannonball, Banshee, Jubilee, Sunfire, Colossus, Cyclops, Beast, Iceman, Mastermind, Toad, Blob, and the list just continues. But please, no characters created in Marvel after 1996. X-Men to a little bit after Generation X will be our cut off for now. :)

The Third World War has only cut down their numbers even further, now only 2 billion souls continue to live on the planet. The ReGenesis Corporation is offering the key to a possible solution. They have invited healthy individuals to apply for their drug trial to test newly created fertility and libido enhancing drug cocktails. During a contracted period of four years, those chosen to join the Erogenesis Project will live in the lap of luxury, in their isolated paradise resort. Unlimited sex, with other willing individuals, great food and plush lodgings in a war torn world. What more could they ask for?

But what happened after the war? This story is well known -- it has been told and retold thousands of times, passed from person to person, spreading around the world like a plague. The story of the great savior of the Wizarding World, the Golden Boy, Harry Potter. Everyone knows the stories of how he defeated the Dark Lord when he was only a baby and everyone knows how his parents sacrificed themselves to save him. Everyone knows of his time at Hogwarts, his best friends Hermione and Ron, they know of his trials during the Triwizard Tournament and his claims that Lord Voldemort had killed Cedric Diggory. Yes, they all had heard about his tales of the Dark Lord returning. What they didn’t know, was that those stories, just like all the others, were true. The war began raging in Harry’s sixth year and both the Order and the Ministry lost too many good men. The fight lasted two long years, but the outcome was the same: the good guys won and the bad guys lost. That’s how all fairy tales end. But that isn’t always where they really end. Such devastating wars always leave deep scars.. Not only physically, but mentally and emotionally, as well. The Sanctuary was started up just a year after the war ended, for those who needed an escape from the horrors that were left in its wake. It was begun as a place that people could go to rehabilitate themselves. People were allowed to check themselves in as they saw fit, and other people were brought against their will, or as an alternative to Azkaban, if their crimes were not as dire as some. The only problem is, once you check in, you can’t check yourself out. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ In this game, the events of books 6 and 7 never happened. Why? We didn’t like the way things hashed out. Here, we give you an opportunity to write out the fate of your character the way you like to. The good guys won, the bad guys lost, and you can take the fate of your own character from there and run with it. Tonks didn’t have to die, Hermione doesn’t have to marry Ron, Snape might have lived, and Neville might still be the same screw-up of a boy. Everything from Book 5 and down remains cannon.. But the sky’s the limit, after that. This is to be a very active RPG. If you cannot post in threads at least once a day, you need not apply. - Cannon OCs welcome! When there was no one who would or could challenge them for their dominion of earth and sea and sky. This golden age seemed to last forever as the Gods and Goddesses of Olympus loved and fought and quarreled among themselves, making the world turn, the seasons change. They saw the rise and fall of cities, states, and then, empires. And through it all they were loved and hated but always worshiped. There had always been pockets of Others, strangers to their lands who held to false beliefs in strange deities, but the Gods and Goddesses laughed and scorned them from on high, sending them plagues and punishments to torment them and sting their pride. As Rome grew into the secular power, the Olympians smiled and grew complacent. And then, in 391 AD, the Gods and Goddesses received a Mortal Blow. Their own high priest, the Pontifex Maximus, the Emperor Constantine, declared Christianity the State Religion, outlawing paganism and making the worship of the Gods and Goddesses of Olympus and their Roman identities illegal. Now, the year is 2009, and they have been reborn as mortals, their souls returned from the void by the worship brought of a faithful few. As they reawaken to their memories, how will they survive in this new world? How will they reclaim what they lost?
