He was known as King Augusten, and his queen was called Violet.
Together they ruled for nearly thirty years and the people were happy, nothing was denied of them,
and as long as they continued to work together nothing could go wrong.

But, King Augusten was only one man,
he could not have eyes and ears in every part of his kingdom for it stretched on for thousands of miles in every direction,

Enter a world of Art Deco charm, of understated elegance, of simple but luxurious pleasures. First built in 1928, Morningstar Manor was the pet project of Jefferson Morningstar, who envisioned a building in which even those not born with silver spoons in their mouths could live like royalty. From the marble floors in the lobby to the rooftop swimming pool and greenhouse, the elegantly laid out garden courtyard and most modern amenities, Morningstar created a haven for the Manor’s residents. Tenants could enjoy poetry readings and musical performances in the tenants-only library, visit the private café, walk the grounds or feed the fish in the koi pond.

Today, though the Manor has undergone extensive remodeling to bring it to its modern elegance, tenants can still enjoy the coffeeshop and bookstore located on the lobby level, or use the gardens and rooftop swimming pool (now completely glass-enclosed for year-round convenience.) Membership in the fully equipped gym is included in the lease. Self-service laundry facilities in the basement are easily accessible, as well as a dry-cleaning and laundry for those who prefer to have their cleaning sent out. Housekeeping services are arranged in-house by Morningstar Manor’s expertly trained staff, and can be provided for a low, additional monthly fee.

Also included, at no additional fee: Morningstar Manor’s intricately ominous past. No less than seven fires have destroyed parts of the magnificent, thirteen story building. Known by local police and hospital personnel for the number of accidents, murders and suicides it provides every year, the Manor has nevertheless managed to maintain its reputation as being one of “the” places to live. Its shabby chic elegance is enhanced by the long waiting list to rent apartments, despite the high turnover rate of tenants. Acceptance into the Manor seems to virtually guarantee success…at least, financial success, and at least, for a time. To those who claim the Manor is haunted by the souls of its previous tenants, and about the stories of ghostly children crying in the night, a black dog with burning red eyes that lurks in the garden, of doors that won’t stay closed and girls with bleeding eyes who appear behind you in the mirror…the Tenant Association Members scoff. The failed marriages and high death rate is not so easy to ignore or explain away…but rest assured, they will try.

And do you really care if the building is haunted, when it really is “the” place to live?

Anybody up for a little supernatual fun? Without the crazy, undefined, confusing roles--Anathema Prep is just for you. With the roles of the races well defined, it's hard NOT to understand what's going on. The setting is realtime although it is obviously AU. All references to modern pop culture will be relevant. Anathema Prep is a high school for the recently turned Vampires and Weres, and Witches and Humans of the appropriate age. Turned is used here as a human who has been scratched/bitten or otherwise changed in any other way so that they are now genetically described as either a Vampire [the traditionally undead] or as a Were-creature. All characters and students of Anathema Prep will be of teenage mind and body. The twist to Anathema Prep is that in addition to its Supernatural background, there are premade confessions and secrets for each character. Since it's a PB game, they're running off of secrets. The more people that join, the less secrets there are so HURRY and make sure you get the one you want! We're coming back from a recent update to our information and such, so we're open to every Race except for Witches, as we have more witches than anything else right now. Pine Cove is a quiet town when the summer is over and the tourists leave. The town is small, and everyone has known everyone for as long as they've lived in town. Few people ever move to Pine Cove, though occasional a lifetime tourist who has a summer home there decides to stay for good. But this September will be different. On September 1st, the first day back to school and the real start of the fall, Joseph Lee will find his wife dead in their kitchen. She had been taking anti-depressants prescribed by the town's psychiatrist, Valerie Richards. Beth is the first patient Val will ever lose, and it will drive her insane. Determined to cure her patients with actual psychiatry instead of pills, pills, pills, Val will switch all of their scrips for look-alike placebos. So what happens to a quiet little town taken off of it's meds? Pine Cove is about to find out.

Humanity witnessed the pinnacle of its evolution. For a short span of time, Earth was a veritable paradise and the genius of man seemed untouchable. They say that history wields the greatest lessons of all; a saying that has always been proven true. As technologically brilliant as we had become, we did not learn from our mistakes. We did not learn to overcome our own hubris. Each country became lofty of its achievements, while simultaneously becoming greedy for those of others. Those caught in the middle were forced to chose sides. So began a war unlike any other and, when it all ended, the paradisiacal version of Earth was lost.

It has been thirty years since and the world has yet to recover. It lies mostly barren and uninhabitable, save for a few bleak cities scattered over the northern hemisphere. Human society has attempted to pick up the pieces but struggle to remain hopeful in the face of a despotic government that monitors and regulates their every move.
