![]() April 2008, nearly four years since the rescue, the once famous and widely talked about Oceanic Six are now considered “old news” by the media. They’re able to lead normal lives now - or at least they should be able to. Something has gone terribly wrong. The six, plus the others who managed escape, have been plagued by horrors stemming from their ‘new’ lives. Alcohol addiction, incarceration, committed to an insane asylum; these are only three of the things that have made the survivors’ lives horrible. They thought the media had forgotten about them. They thought the months they spent on the island had been left behind. They thought they were free. But the island never forgets. And now, it seems it may be playing for keeps. Now it wants them back. Full premise can be found HERE. (navigate) THE GAME WILL OPEN ON APRIL 7th (opening date may change) Losties and original characters are all welcome. Things are tense at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Rumors of Voldemort's return are being whispered amongst the students, voices hushed and nervous as the latest bit of information makes the rounds. Fear has settled heavily on many shoulders, quickly bringing uncertainty and mistrust to an already divided school. Who belongs to which side? Are there spies amongst the students? What will happen next, who will die next? Can anything be done? The school may be safe from the outside wizarding world, but are the students safe from each other? The generations-long battle between the houses hasn't gotten better, and current tensions have done nothing but elevate the rivalries to a new level. To make matters worse, an anonymous group of four girls have stepped things up, creating a vicious gossip paper that periodically and sporadically details information about their fellow students. Details that only close friends would know. Details that no one is ever happy about having shared with the entire student body. It's called Bavardage. No one knows who publishes it, or how information is gathered for it. The only certain thing about it is that it is another source of trouble and uncertainty. With the teachers seemingly unable to stop new issues from going out and the issues getting progressively nastier and revealing more secrets, the last, thin threads of trust amongst the houses are fraying quickly. Friendships are being challenged and broken, and new, dangerous liaisons are being built. The general consensus is that the girls must be stopped: but how? The purebloods are getting snobbier every year, the halfbloods are losing recognition for their minds and intellect and the muggleborns are treated as welfare cases on scholarship from the British Prime Minister. The whole student body is stuck in a downward spiral, trapped by an endless ring of rumors and lies. Libel and slander are not punishable, but instead encouraged. There's nothing more important than bringing down anyone suspected of being responsible for Bavardage. People are getting hurt, and not just by the paper. With no one able to trust anyone else and constant fights breaking out, the search for the guilty is getting nowhere extremely fast. There's war brewing, and not just outside of Hogwarts. Somewhere within the castle that is supposed to be one of the few safe refuges left in the wizarding world, four girls are playing a dangerous game with their fellow students. Will the school collapse onto itself, or will the youth of the wizarding world be able to band together and overcome the fear, distrust, and rivalries that are threatening to tear Hogwarts apart? BAVARDAGE. Will you end up on the top, or on the bottom? ![]() - Plot - Rules - Character List - Played-Bys - Team Info - Apply - - Contacts (F-Lock) - Advertise (F-Lock) - So we all know that Captain Jack Harkness runs Torchwood Three, that Torchwood One was destroyed in the Battle of Canary Wharf, that Torchwood Two is headed by "a very strange man" and that Torchwood Four is currently misplaced. Well that's all fine and dandy, but things are about to start changing. Torchwood One is reopening just outside of London and is now known as Torchwood 1.1 and Torchwood Two's leader has been replaced. Torchwood Three of course isn't any different, with the exception that Jack has been missing for a bit. The big thing is that Torchwood Four is back on the map, headed by the same person it had been before it was 'misplaced'. It seems Torchwood Four, headed by one Major Charlie Sheppard, had a minor malfunction involving Cardiff's rift. In fact, Torchwood Four is located right near Torchwood Three, or at least it was until it and its team got pulled into another universe. Which is where Lucian Devereaux comes in. It seems that he got a hold of a Time Agent's vortex manipulator in the far future and has been using it at his own pleasure. Well, until it backfired and he was sent to the present and made the rift flux, sucking Torchwood Four into it. Luckily, Major Sheppard wasn't there at the time. Now as for Lucian, he'd been jumping through time randomly and unwillingly as he tried to fix the vortex manipulator. During this time he realized that he'd jump from the present in Cardiff to some different point in time and then back. Along the way, he managed to bring back people with him who shouldn't be during that time, and that caused the rift to go haywire, also bringing people to the present that shouldn't be there: those that are dead, those who aren't born yet, and those in other dimensions. And so, Torchwood realized they needed to work extra hard to try and stop this and thus re-established Torchwood Four, somehow convincing Charlie to head it once more. And that is where we begin... Ever at the ready is a Torchwood/Doctor Who RP that allows for any character from either series (old and new) to be incorporated, as well as original characters! It takes place around the start of season two. We've only just started and we're looking for a majority of the canon cast still, including The Doctor (any of them) and most of Torchwood Three. We're also looking for bad guys and aliens to be hunted down, as well as people to fill up the other Torchwood Teams. If you think you're ready, then we're ready to have you join the team! We're Currently Looking for: GWEN, RHYS, other Canon characters from Torchwood, Doctor Who or Sarah Jane Adventures, people for the Torchwood Teams, Civilians, Aliens, Bad Guys, and more! |
The year is 1976 and the famous Marauders are in their sixth year at Hogwarts. School is pretty much the same as it always was, except for the fact that there is a new wave of evil forming. A dark and sinister group known as the Death Eaters. Some of the students, mostly Slytherins are quite intrigued by this group and their actions reflect on their every day lives and the ones around them at Hogwarts. Death Eaters are a group of wizards and witches, led by the dark wizard Lord Voldemort, who seek to purify the greater Wizarding community of Muggle-borns. They also strive, in achieving their goals, to create a new order through the Ministry of Magic and cause fear through the Wizarding community by terrorising and killing important officials and their other enemies. Death Eaters are recognized by the Dark Mark on their left forearm, a sign created by Voldemort and when touched causes all of them to burn instantly summoning members to their master. When carrying out activities under the guise of the organization they wear black, hooded robes and masks which conceal their faces. Some of the students opposed to these Dark wizards have sided with the Order of the Phoenix, and their actions reflect in some of the ways that the darker wizards do. They are fighting for the side of good and wish to stop the evil doings of Lord Voldemort. The Order of the Phoenix is a group composed of witches and wizards started by Albus Dumbledore. This group is dedicated to stopping the Dark Lord Voldemort and his followers. They are a secret society and not too many know about them. The Ministry is a bit blinded by what is going on in their world and have denied that Voldemort and the Death Eaters are a threat. This is why the Order was formed. They intend to stop the evil that is inhabiting their world, attempting to take it over. |
![]() | "They live in a secret world, hidden behind the veil of lies and misconceptions. They look, work, eat, and sleep all in the manner like we do. But they are not one of us. They are dark and evil, and it is up to us to stop them. If we fail, who knows what the fate of humanity might be. But I know one thing, for all that I am able to do, for my part, my soul, my family and their future, I will not rest until I send every last unnatural, unholy creature to the depths of hell they came from." Jeremiah Valdon, Vampire Hunter and Protector of Humanity. Not Honest is an original Supernatural RPG that is just beginning and looking for creative and mature RPers. The focus of this game is not just the supernatural, but the world around them - the humans who move about in the world without knowledge of what lies beneath. Must be 18 to play. |

![]() "Night gathers, and now my watch begins. It shall not end until my death. I shall take no wife, hold no lands, father no children. I shall wear no crowns and win no glory. I shall live and die at my post. I am the sword in the darkness. I am the watcher on the walls. I am the fire that burns against the cold, the light that brings the dawn, the horn that wakes the sleepers, the shield that guards the realms of men. I pledge my life and honor to the Night's Watch, for this night and all the nights to come." --The Oath of the Night's Watch, A Game of Thrones |

![]() The War of the Five Kings and its subsequent aftermath saw to Prince Tommen Baratheon, in all his youthful pliability, being crowned the rightful King. Meanwhile, Daenerys 'Stormborn' Targaryen from across the Narrow Sea dissolved the unrest in Slaver's Bay and prepared to make true her long awaited ambitions to sail into Westeros. It was not long before the news spilled into Westeros, whether by ravens or by spies and messengers. The mysteries surrounding the identity of Robb's heir notwithstanding, fealties were sworn and allegiances shifted as the West scurried to side with either the House Baratheon or the House Targaryen in anticipation of the Great War That Never Happened. Indeed, the Stags and the Dragons had been a blade's length away from the first blood spilt when the Wall gave. In spite of the fierce efforts by the Night's Watch, under the joint command of Lord Commander Jon Snow and Lord Stannis Baratheon, to keep the Others--and wights--at bay, it was simply not enough. Even as Wildlings lent reinforcements for the Watch, those who had been quick to dismiss the threats from the north soon learned that the Starks' warnings of old had not merely been fanciful tales as originally believed. ![]() |

![]() C'est La Vie RPG takes place in the year 1941, in occupied Paris. Most of the gameplay will take place in that city. You can choose to play either side of the conflict - be a Nazi officer, or a Resistance fighter; or be primarily uninvolved - a foreigner in the city, or a neutral citizen. Some supernatural elements will be included in the game, so you can even pitch a supernatural character concept - though nothing over the top, please. The choices are many - please feel free to let your imagination wander and develop a well-rounded character. No Sues will be accepted. You may play as many characters as you can reasonably keep up with, but each must be applied for separately. Please apply for one at a time. |
Play will take place over Insane Journal, though AIM or other chat medium may be used to play out a scene if desired. Posting will be third person past tense format in the community; first person format in personal journals of the characters. Occasional optional writing prompts and character development questions will be given for fun. An extensive knowledge of WWII and occupied Paris is not required to play this game (though certainly, the more you know the better!). We have included all the relevant information you need to get started, and provided lots of links for things you might need to look up. Though mistakes will happen, please try to keep as close to period as possible. |
