It is the Year of Our Lord sixteen hundred and two, and strange things are stirring in England.
For years, the stories have circulated of the Witchbreed: young men bearing strange abilities and magical powers; folk who can fly, kill at a touch or read a person's deepest secrets simply by looking into their eyes. And whether or not the tales are to be believed, those in power are apt to look upon the unfamiliar with fear and suspicion. Spain has responded most violently: the Inquisition persecutes anybody who looks different or appears to have supernatural abilities, burning dozens of people as Witchbreed. In England, Queen Elizabeth I has remained mildly tolerent of the Witchbreed; as long as they have not troubled her people, she has not seen fit to trouble them. She has thus far turned a blind eye to the operations of Spanish national Carlos Javier, who has established a haven for the strange new breed under the guise of a selective school for the sons of gentlefolk.
However, recent events have thrown England in disarray. The Queen has been assassinated by an unknown agent and James VI of Scotland has been propelled to the English throne. James, whose fear and hatred of the Witchbreed is legendary, was quick to lay the finger of blame on the creatures he so despises. He has dispatched men to capture and kill any known to be Witchbreed, and hefty rewards are offered to any who are able to identify or turn in anybody showing unexplained powers.
Meanwhile, in Domdaniel, Spain, the High Inquisitor Enrique himself has been revealed as one of the very monsters he hunts, secretly smuggling away any who could pass for human, gathering disciples - a Brotherhood of Witchbreed. He and his followers have escaped death at the stake and fled from Spain to whereabouts unknown, leaving behind them a heightened atmosphere of fear and suspicion.
The world is an increasingly unfriendly place for those who are different. Master Javier's college remains one of the few safehavens for the Witchbreed, but it seems only a matter of time before it, too, is uncovered by James' men.

In a world ravaged by war and uncertainty, hope is dawning. It's been nearly a year since Harry Potter vanquished the Dark Lord, Voldemort. Although the war has ended, families are still wounded by the deaths of loved ones. Student's educations are in shambles, and trust is a shaky thing. Everyone is putting their trust in Minister for Magic, Kingsley Shacklebolt. He is the beacon for order and peace in the still-dark wizarding world. But putting blind trust in one man, war-hero or not, isn't always a wise decision. Minister Shacklebolt has always had the best intentions for the wizarding world, but distrust is easily swayed to paranoia and in these uncertain days the war-hero Minister is more of a figure-head than anything else. |

- Plot - Rules - Character List - Played-Bys - Team Info - Apply - - Contacts (F-Lock) - Advertise (F-Lock) - So we all know that Captain Jack Harkness runs Torchwood Three, that Torchwood One was destroyed in the Battle of Canary Wharf, that Torchwood Two is headed by "a very strange man" and that Torchwood Four is currently misplaced. Well that's all fine and dandy, but things are about to start changing. Torchwood One is reopening just outside of London and is now known as Torchwood 1.1 and Torchwood Two's leader has been replaced. Torchwood Three of course isn't any different, with the exception that Jack has been missing for a bit. The big thing is that Torchwood Four is back on the map, headed by the same person it had been before it was 'misplaced'. It seems Torchwood Four, headed by one Major Charlie Sheppard, had a minor malfunction involving Cardiff's rift. In fact, Torchwood Four is located right near Torchwood Three, or at least it was until it and its team got pulled into another universe. Which is where Lucian Devereaux comes in. It seems that he got a hold of a Time Agent's vortex manipulator in the far future and has been using it at his own pleasure. Well, until it backfired and he was sent to the present and made the rift flux, sucking Torchwood Four into it. Luckily, Major Sheppard wasn't there at the time. Now as for Lucian, he'd been jumping through time randomly and unwillingly as he tried to fix the vortex manipulator. During this time he realized that he'd jump from the present in Cardiff to some different point in time and then back. Along the way, he managed to bring back people with him who shouldn't be during that time, and that caused the rift to go haywire, also bringing people to the present that shouldn't be there: those that are dead, those who aren't born yet, and those in other dimensions. And so, Torchwood realized they needed to work extra hard to try and stop this and thus re-established Torchwood Four, somehow convincing Charlie to head it once more. And that is where we begin... Ever at the ready is a Torchwood/Doctor Who RP that allows for any character from either series (old and new) to be incorporated, as well as original characters! It takes place around the start of season two. We've only just started and we're looking for a majority of the canon cast still, including The Doctor (any of them) and most of Torchwood Three. We're also looking for bad guys and aliens to be hunted down, as well as people to fill up the other Torchwood Teams. If you think you're ready, then we're ready to have you join the team! We're Currently Looking for: CAPTAIN JOHN, TOSHIKO, people for the Torchwood Teams, Civilians, Aliens, Bad Guys, other Canon characters and more! |

The Order of the Phoenix has spent years fighting against Voldemort, his Death Eaters and the very idea of Pureblood supremacy. Many people on both sides of this battle have given their lives for what they truly believed in and in the spring of 1998 the Wizarding world thought that they had received the final answer to the struggle between equality and supremacy. Harry Potter, surrounded by those who believed in him, defeated He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named for the final time. The wizarding world rejoiced as Voldemort's dark shadow was removed from their homes and communities and they were able to rebuild the lives that they had once had. Now, as the wizarding world enters the year 2003, they find themselves facing danger from the very people many of them fought so hard to protect. The barrier between the Wizarding and Muggle world is deteriorating. Is there a new group of Death Eaters out there? Is it a remainder of Voldemort's plans? Rumours and speculation run rampid as the Ministry tries to determine the cause. As more and more Muggles stumble across the magical world and it's people, violence and hatred cross barriers, leaving Witches and Wizards every where wondering if maybe Voldemort had been right after all. Now, as a new year dawns, Death Eaters and Order members will have to come together to fight off this new threat. Will old grievances get in the way and tear apart old wounds? How will new policies be hammered out? And most importantly, will the Wizarding world be able to survive as the hunted minority? |

The world was as it was a place where the balance of good and evil was always being swayed. Individuals known to have amazing strengths were always exulted for their never ending battle against those that never stopped causing havoc on the face of the earth. They were referred to as heroes. Unfortunately, just as there were those who looked upon the heroes in exultation, there were those who considered them a plague who only infested the world with more evil. It was them, small government cooperations or private research systems, who began experimentations and highly classified projects in weaponry to take the duty of bringing justice to the world back. One could only understand it as jealousy, heroes from all over the world had given their services for the peace of their people, their cities- even entire countries. The strong movements and measures that were slowly taken a stronger sway in their worlds was greatly disturbing them. Whether it was them who struck first or the latter, parallel universes began to merge into one. People, places, and even justice itself seemed to have taken a tip down a hill. Through all this chaos everyone began to loose hope as new villains began to take over the streets and the undergrounds. Those that had created all of this mess began to slink back into the shadows unable to reverse what had happened. They lost hope and hid before anyone knew what hit them. No one could stop the end from coming but them. Heroes from both dimensions began to sprout out realizing what had occurred. Although they were dispersed in different places they all held the same goal: stop evil on its tracks. Many looked upon each other as enemies or rivals. Some were called ‘The Justice League’ while others called themselves the ‘Avengers’. Differences and conflicts between heroes were giving the villains more time to recuperate. Could there be peace long enough to rid the world of chaos… this is where our story begins… As a player, you will have to choose what side you’re on- a villain or a hero? You will have a great range of many Marvel or DC characters from any fandom. It will be up to you to decide if teaming up or staying separated is the key. Remember, the world’s fate lies in your hands after all… |

As it is known to mankind now when death grips a lifeform they perish and are sent into the earth where they will reincarnate into something beautiful and provide the world with the always looping circles of life and death. But, what if those always interlocking circles were bent and broken apart leaving the Valley of the Light forever separated from the Land of the Dead never to continue on the chain reactions of life, death and reincarnation. However this does leave the question: Where does one go when they die if these linked circles are torn apart? A question that has a solution only known to those who have passed on to see their new land. Enter the Netherworld. A sub-world once connected to the state of the living, the Netherworld is an area with many realms all connected to each other by strange portals. Although the Netherworld in itself is mostly a neutral land, there are certain realms that seem to be more of a threat than the others. It is true that to be in this world one must be dead and therefore shouldn't have the need for fear of any things that could be even remotely ominous - but with death comes fear and with fear comes pain. Dead one might be, food you may not need but even in the Netherworld blood and pain are as real as the living. There are four different realms joined together in the Netherworld, each one with their own creatures native to its grounds - it is up to those in the realms to decided for themselves which creatures are friend and which are foe. Judge not by their looks entirely for such things can be deceiving. Shelter can be found if you look hard enough in areas such as caves, and holes. They can even be built if one is creative enough to try. Food and drink are not necessities in the Netherworld as there is no hunger to be felt. There is only one large difference between the living and the dead carried into the Netherworld - the dead have no hearts. The similarities are as simple as if one is cut they will bleed and feel pain. Cold and warm tempuratures have effects on the dead although it is minor. Injuries sustained in death are carried over into the Netherworld as permanent scars. There is but one rule to the land that allows you to pass through realms so freely: the dead cannot visit the land of the living under any circumstances. The living may, however, visit the dead. Perhaps - if one is lucky enough to be called by the living for a meeting, that is. |

Located just four miles out of Napa, California, The Sutton Academy has become the place for the rich (and sometimes famous) to send their children. Boys and girls come from all over the country (and in a few cases, the world), to receive a first rate education. At least, that's what the brochures say. The truth is, The Sutton Academy has become more of a 24-7 babysitter for rich kids rather than a school. The price tag is high, but it's a rarity that kids fail out, or get kicked out of Sutton, something their parents know when they sign their checks each year. |

Die Another Day is set a decade after the events of Deathly Hallows, set in a Ministry and world under supreme Death Eater rule. It is a time of war, a time of fear and a time of hiding. The public has been forced into a position where they must either choose a side or die. Your task: ♦ Choose the Order and risk your life for the very people who ripped your freedom from you? ♦ Choose the Death Eaters and know final, unbridled power, living in a fight to keep that power or waiting for the day where you finally lose it all? ♦ Choose the werewolves, finally given a chance at acceptance by the Dark Lord and public by becoming soldiers and killing machines of war? ♦ Choose the Ministry and live under a rule of fear, silent obedience, and an uneven peace? | |
Die Another Day is a non-traditional RPG. A mixture of the player-to-player interaction style we're used to but adding elements similar to Strategy Games and Alternate Reality Games (commonly referred to as ARGs), Die Another Day's purpose is to return the game to role-playing games. |
