Halloween Masquerade
Who: Aloysius, Quinn, and ANYONE WHO WISHES TO COME TO THE MASQUERADE
When: Saturday October 28, into the 29th
Where: The Carnival
What: It’s the Halloween Masquerade, the party of the month.
Warnings: Probably all sorts of warnings, tbh, so approach with caution if you're touchy!
The club’s decorations were flawless. As expected, of course. Though he’d hired several people, he’d paid the Summerby woman a nice sum to both supervise and do the more complex of the charms. That he’d allowed her to bring along her infants while doing so had apparently sweetened the deal nicely. So the atmosphere was perfect, exactly what he and Quinn had imagined as they’d talked and planned.
Half of the club was in reds and glowed with false fires and embers, steaming here and there, a vision of some sort of firey domain – hell, if you wished, though he didn’t name it so. Aside from the fact that nothing actually exuded heat (though there were occasional warm breezes), it looked as if it should be burning up.
The other half was a domain of snow and ice, all blues and whites and deep purples. Occasional chill gusts. And where the two domains overlapped, battled, fought for dominance in the middle of the dance floor.. it appeared to have melting ice and water, reflective and so realistic more than one of his employees had bent down to touch it and assure themselves with those and other spots that the effects were just that – effects.
It was going to be brilliant. The djinn was terribly excited for it all played up for his love of the dramatic. He and Quinn had their costumes all squared away as well, he as the ice king and she as the fire queen, a complete reverse of their usuals.
He already knew the place would be hopping busy, and he had only dawn as the cut off point. He wanted this to be the Halloween party to be at. The masquerade of the year. Oh, there would be others, but this one would be the grandest. The best. He hoped that everyone planned on having as much fun with this as he did.
Of course, he did set the bar rather high with that… for few aside from his diva enjoyed this sort of thing quite as much as he.
