"Kaboom," he deadpanned and then broke out into deep, rich laughter along with her. Yes, this was one reason he took to her so well. Her sense of humor and joy. She hadn't let 'dying' take her down and he hoped, truly, that she'd never lose it.
Many did. The longer they lived, the more they lost it. He wasn't a bad example to have around thoigh. Most of his kind were supposedly mad and dangerous and though he had weird, voice filled days on occasion... he had kept a sense of life and instead of hating he loved most people. He lived vibrantly. Flamboyantly.
"We will see if we can't find you away." It was her wish, and one the djinn hoped he could find a way to fill.
"I know you aren't, my sweet. You really are doing brilliantly, you know," he praised her.
