Who: Pansy and Parvati
Where:: Starting at Pansy's work
When: This week.
What: Parvati interrupts Pansy at work.

She sat at her desk, parchments scattered everywhere, her hair in a loose bun as she hovered over said messy parchments with quills and inks. Pansy had been working on this particular advertisement for Moonchant and Minks for a week now. Something just wasn't quite right...

As her thoughts heavily saturated her brain, she didn't notice that a particular pink minx had walked in her office door demanding immediate attention. In fact, it only took Parvati one shrill moment to get the Slytherin's notice.

Pansy giggled, a rare feat, "I can't believe you admitted to it, ah," she sighed, pushing back her tresses, "Luck is always with Slytherins, we've learn to manipulate our chances."

"I can't go now," the brunette scoffed, eyeing the rough draft that sank into the deep seeded purse, "My boss absolutely wouldn't let me." Can't argue with that.

"Why wouldn't I admit to it? I am gullible, so I'm gullible enough to admit to it as well." Parvati shrugged with good humor, her smile pretty and relaxed. "Manipulate your chances, or manipulate others?"

Parvati stared down Pansy for a moment before her slim shoulders lifted in what looked like would be a sign of defeat, "Right, then." She looked up, "What room is your boss in?"

Pansy's lips came together in a thin smile, "Didn't you just say the same thing?" she said with a mockful innocence.

Raising an eyebrow, Pansy answered before even thinking of the consequences, "First room on the left, near the secretary. Why-" before she even finished, Parvati seemed to be on the move.

Before Pansy could stop her, Parvati was out of the room and marching toward the boss' office. Two minutes later, the elderly gentleman was knocking on Pansy's door, Parvati beside him.

"Ms. Parkinson, why don't you take the rest of the afternoon off with your dear friend. It's far too nice out for little witches like yourselves to be indoors."

A passing witch of a similar age's mouth dropped. She'd been denied an afternoon off for her brother's graduation!

Parvati smiled sweetly.

She didn't believe it. But how could she not. It was bloody Parvati for gosh sakes! Persuasive Patil!

"Sir, are you sure?" she questioned, awkwardly reaching for her purse. She looked from the elder man's mug to Parvati's sweet and innocent face.

"Of course!" Chortled the elderly wizard, "Why don't you use the company account to have a lovely late tea? I insist." He turned toward Parvati, "It was delightful to speak to you, Mrs. Malfoy. Much misfortune to my family that Mr. Malfoy got to you before my grandson could have."

"Oh, stop!" Parvati tittered sweetly.

Pansy's boss smiled and took his leave.

Parvati was already plopping down her sunshine yellow modern styled witches' hat on her head (to match her white and yellow eyelet dress of course) as she turned to Pansy, "Well, hurry up."

Pansy couldn't believe what she was hearing. Her boss wasn't a mean old man, no, but he definitely wasn't this nice. Inwardly, she felt that because Parvati was Parvati Malfoy, she could do just about any damn thing she wanted. Inwardly, she scowled.

Grabbing another sheet of parchment and rolling it into her purse, she flipped her hair behind her shoulder and began taking her leave out of the office. A few of her co-workers stared in envy.

"I don't know how you do it," she said nonchalantly.

Parvati shrugged as if it was no big deal, "Charm." And then with a wicked little smile over her shoulder, "Or maybe Imperius. I never share my secrets." She stuck out a playful tongue at Pansy.

"So how are you and Edgar?" At least Parvati thought that was Pansy's latest boytoy like thing. It might've been Evan. Or Eduardo.

Within moments they were on the street and Parvati was drawn toward a shoppe window with the most darling pair of royal blue heels on display.

Pansy's eyes widened in a sense of shock, "Oh you wouldn't! I don't even think you could!" she said in giddy disbelief, "But maybe Draco taught you some - no I'll still think it's your cleavage that wiles you in," she remarked with a wave of her hand.

Rolling her eyes, Pansy said in a tone that one would use when saying something like 'I bought some new shoes today', "He dumped he."

Parvati shrugged nonchalently, "Draco's taught me a-lot of things-Hey" She reached out, swatting Pansy on the arm, "Can't you go one day without commenting on my assets? You're obsessed, woman!"

Glancing up to look at Pansy in the reflection of the shop window, Parvati did what any good friend would do: Immediately get filled with rage. "He dumped YOU? The nerve of that absolute cretin! Why? I bet he's secretly a hermaphrodite. Or a squib. Didn't want it to come out."

"No, no I can't," Pansy said quite solemnly, "I mean, geez, walking next to you is like a board and a balloon, loads of them." No, Pansy had never been very shapely, her thin body lacking the right amount of voluptuous curves, but still remaining dainty and female.

She was secretly comforted by the fact that it was natural for Parvati to immediately hate upon any of her ex-boy toys; it happened several times. Each time ranging from their first born cursed to be a squib to threatening to hex their genitalia off and keeping it in a jar, which shocked her the first time.

"I'm going to go with poof this time," she said, admiring the same shoes in the window, "Said I was always too busy for him, but I only work four days out of the week, he was needy and a ponce."

"By loads, you mean two?" Parvati returned dryly. Yes, for such a slim, dainty girl, she certainly had the kind of breasts men would kill to have on their wives. Despite this, she often wished to be less shapely up top - much easier to dress. Not to mention Draco practically blew a gasket if even the slightest cleavage showed....not that that stopped her. :)

Little did Pansy know that although Parvati did not hex the genitalia off on one of her exes, she did in fact hex it to burn endlessly for a month straight. Draco *had* in fact, taught her things.

"Ew. Needy. You don't need that. All's the better. Probably has Mummy issues." She walked into the store, pointing to the blue heels and asking for a size 6.

As they waited for the shopkeeper to come back, Parvati continued, "Well, now that's you're free. Have you ever given thought to Adrian Pucey as a potential suitor?"

"Sure. But big ones," she said flitting her eyelashes. Nothing stopped Parvati Patil-Malfoy from wearing what she wanted. She could wear a potato sack and make it look good. Pansy could wear it, but indeed look like a sack of potatoes.

"Better to be a daddy's girl than a mum's boy, I say," she remarked, eying a pair of suede green heels as Parvati ordered for the shoes in the window.

"Pucey?" she said with a surprise swerve of her head. Not that she hadn't thought about it, but her and Pucey have known each other so long, that the thought of marrying him seemed like someone else's story, not hers.

"Why do you say Adrian Pucey?"

"But I'd love to have a little boy who clings to me." Parvati stated, already knowing that any son she would bear would most likely only be able to receive lavish love and affection from her and not his father. "You just need to raise them well so they aren't a sissy when they're older."

Parvati shrugged, "Well, I bumped into him today. He's single. Quite good looking. I think he'd make a smashing suitor for you! A tad old fashioned, but then that's good as well, you Slytherins like a bit of the cad in your fellows, don't you?"

"You would smother your children," Pansy said affectionately in her own condescending tone. Parvati is the kind of woman who was the kind of girl that liked small cuddly things, and children are so small and cherubis, that how could the woman in her simply resist?

"Nothing wrong with being old-fashioned," she said with a wry smile, as her hands ran along the suede material. She sat down on one of the waiting chairs and perused the shoes elevated around them.

"I'd consider it, but what makes you think Pucey would want to be a suitor of mine?"

"Of course I shall. Draco will most likely just lecture them all the time, I need to make up for it." Parvati noted fondly, a small grin on her face as she glanced over at her best friend. "And don't lie, you're going to smother your own as well. Your mum was cold enough to make you a big fat softie inside that hard outer shell." She poked the other girl in the side.

In the time, Parvati had ordered for another 10 pairs of shoes to be brought over to them. "Is that so? I thought you like to be in control?"

"Well, you're pretty and pureblood and clever, and from talking to him that's what I've gathered he's looking for."

"I'm not going to have children," Pansy stated flatly at Parvati's teasing. It could be true. Maybe she won't marry and thus, have no children. She didn't think she could handle carrying around a child in her stomach OR birthing it, either.

"I do," she answered nonchalantly, "But I can't have a wuss for a man," the Slytherin stated very clearly. Anyone Pansy got on with, they would butt heads like rams and goats.

"I think Pucey would be interesting in anything female so long as it could think coherantly."

Parvati rolled her eyes before ordering for her favourite five pairs to be wrapped up, "We've been through this before. You will have children. You need someone to carry on your sour legacy." She stuck her tiny pink tongue out at her friend playfully.

"Yes, I really dislike prissy boys." Parvati nodded vehemently, "There's a lot to be said for power."

"Well maybe so, but I do think he wants to settle down now. Do let me arrange a date for the both of you? A proper one. A pureblood arrangement. And you must stop calling him by his last name. That is quite possibly the least welcoming thing, ever." Well, at least outside of the bedroom. Sometimes it was quite hot to refer to eachother by last names when one is playing up the whole 'worst enemy' roleplay. *cough*

"My sour legacy?" Pansy said with the scrunch of her nose. She sighed, remembering the most ridiculous thing, "Were you hanging out with your Weasley friend?" she asked offhandedly, recalling how the maniacal twin would make such a candy called Pansy Puckers. Ye gods.

Waving her hand up in dismissal to the later comment, the brunette stared straight at her friend with a snort, "What are you? My mother? Arrange a date, oh please."

Pansy was quite glad Parvati didn't share such information like the roleplay with her, she was still so much of a prude, "It's habitual and not something I can correct," she said.

"No." Parvati's face fell, "He's still being an ass to me. I don't understand it. I know he doesn't approve of my marriage to Draco, but he's taken it so far. Why do you ask?"

"No, but I could owl her and ask her too." Parvati smiled sweetly, "Oh, come on, Pansy! What would be so horrible about a date with him? And then once you're married we can have babies together!"

Pansy didn't want to know about how Parvati put on her Gryffindor outfit and Draco pretended to be a prefect who catches her out at night, threatens to take off points, then she makes a ....eee. Okay. Point taken.
