you guys, art class critique is the worst.

it's basically what it sounds like: your whole class gets together and critiques each other's work. half of what people say is artsy bullshit that they think sounds smart, a quarter of it is mean just for the sake of being mean, another twenty percent is completely insane, and then the final five percent is actually useful commentary on the work.

someone told me "i hate that you used paint." IN PAINTING CLASS. another guy commented on the raw sexuality of my painting OF A CAVE. and i didn't even get the worst of it! they made this one girl cry, and like, no, her painting wasn't that good, but it wasn't that bad either.

i need a nap. or maybe half a chocolate cake.

	it was so gross. and like, i'm used to it. i've had guys staring at my boobs since i was 13. but i hate it, and during my critique it's just even more disrespectful. but i can't even complain about it, because then i just get some lecture about not wearing such tight shirts or they tell me i'm imagining things. it's never worth it. 	Astrals. That's not something anyone should be used to, I'm very sorry. I don't wish to take away your agency and be the one that people suddenly listen to by butting in but I have a very pushing desire to teach someone a lesson that will prevent them from making others feel uncomfortable ever again. 	i appreciate the thought anyway. and appreciate you actually believing me instead of assuming i was confused or it was an accident. and being someone who's not real big on confrontation, if he's creepy again i'll probably let you teach him a lesson. though i guess i should at least try a "my eyes are up here, bro" before i call in the cavalry.
