Hey so, Caroline the welcome video is done. It's not perfect but if I don't turn it in now, I'll just end up setting it on fire and pretending this never happened. I'll hand it off to Gansey and he can bring it in tomorrow.

If any of the rest of you assholes wanna watch it, we can project it on the side of a building or something? IDK.

Gansey and I are never going to see eye-to-eye on money, that's all. And every time it comes up, I feel like shit after. I'm trying to figure out how to just not.

It doesn't matter what I prefer, because it's not my money. I know Gansey would listen, but it would only feel like he was doing what I was telling him to do and that's not right either.

I don't even know anymore. I like working on solutions with Gansey. I like trying to find ways to creative troubleshoot financial problems. I like that we were all forced to split things equally because it was necessary, not because everyone was doing me a favor because I couldn't contribute more than my means.

He said he wouldn't do that now, but if we ever get stuck he can just pay for it. He'll offer, he's too kind. I don't want reminders of things I can't do or don't have. I don't want to feel ashamed of

Nobody splits things with you because we're doing you a favor. We split because we're a family and a team and we all bring different shit to the table. Especially here. Did you tell any of this troubleshooting shit to Gansey?

Do you seriously think he values your friendship less than some dumb trust fund? I mean, seriously. Do you really believe he likes swiping a debit card more than he loves working out solutions with you? His anxious ass is probably going to agonize over goddamn dollar he spends so he doesn't lose your respect or upset Sargent and you won't even tell him that you're just worried he'll choose the money over you and your spreadsheets.

I know that he doesn't like it when a solution could be him just swiping his debit card and I won't let it be. I know he hates how I want things to be even when all he's offering is kindness because he doesn't value money the way I do. I know he wants to help, and if money can help, he has the means to. But I don't.

And don't give me that bullshit that he doesn't care. I care. I care that the only thing I have to offer Gansey is fucking spreadsheets and one day it won't be enough for me because he is a better person that I am




I need to go for a walk. I have more shit I need to work through.
