I have spoken with several of you now but had not introduced myself here.

Lan Mandragoran. I am not used to settling in one place for any long amount of time, but the potential to stay here for months, if not years, so I believe settling might be inevitable. I am a Warder in our world, to Moiraine Sedai, who arrived shortly after I did; if I may be of use to your defense teams, I will put my skills to their use.

May I ask how many of you had to adjust to all of this technology? I still find the phone unwieldy and temperamental.

	It doesn't respond at all to yelling at it, I've learned that much. I've also been informed that the Department will only replace the object once with no questions asked if you show up with a smoking, mangled little pile of metal. (Reply to this) (Thread)

	I don't know. They could lie to give people comfort in that, to make them less likely to search for a way home. Or it could be the truth shared from others that have come and gone before. 	I mistrust most people until I have a reason not to. That said, I can't see a motive for bringing us here and lying to keep us here. And believe me, I've been looking for one. 	There doesn't seem to be a constant looming threat of the Dark here. I suppose that would breed people less watchful. Yes, that is one thing we have in common. It's part of why I thought she'd make a good Wisdom. You can't protect a village if you let people push you around just because you're young. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Magic is full of opportunities for things to go wrong. ~~I don't know what I'm going to do now that I~~ That's what I kept trying to explain to the Village Council. I was barely old enough to braid my hair when they made me Wisdom, so it was a constant fight. (Reply to this) (Parent)
