I have spoken with several of you now but had not introduced myself here.

Lan Mandragoran. I am not used to settling in one place for any long amount of time, but the potential to stay here for months, if not years, so I believe settling might be inevitable. I am a Warder in our world, to Moiraine Sedai, who arrived shortly after I did; if I may be of use to your defense teams, I will put my skills to their use.

May I ask how many of you had to adjust to all of this technology? I still find the phone unwieldy and temperamental.

	I am unfamiliar with the Chinese, but the only people I am aware of that are here from the same world as me are Moiraine and Nynaeve al'Meara. It's certainly a strange place to be thrown into. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Ain't that the truth. You'll find that most people here are from a version of a world called Earth, which is where China is. Get ready to be mistaken for Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, and every other kind of Asian there is - white people usually can't tell the difference even in their own world. 	I will put it on the list. There is less mutton here to eat, which I appreciate for the variety alone. We do have that, but not to a forced extent. Being raised with respect and manners is expected in the Borderlands. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	I hear you - I came here from a space station, and I had gotten real tired of eating the same tomato over and over. Basically the same as us, then. It's not forced, it's just strongly encouraged and definitely expected. For the most part, anyway. The strength of expectations varies from family to family. (Reply to this) (Parent)
