I take back every nasty thing I've ever said about this place before. I didn't think I'd ever see my baby again after I sold her when I left LA, but there she was, parked right outside of Morningside this morning.

Guess I'm gonna have to spend the rest of the day getting reacquainted with her.

Will it bother you that you're here and unable to continue that search? Did they know you were looking for them?

It did. It does. I'm still coming to terms with the fact that I'm stuck here. But I guess if I have to be stuck anywhere, this place isn't so bad. Fucking weird, but not bad.

And yeah, he knew. I'd almost caught up with him before I got brought here, but he'd managed to slip away at the last minute.

It's been almost two years for me come January, and it never stops being weird. I can confidently say now, it's better than home though.

Was he dangerous to others or just trying to hide from you?

There are definitely parts of it that are better than home.

Both, I guess. I spent two years trying to arrest him, but I'm not anymore. Maybe he thought I still was.

If you don't mind me asking, why the change of heart about arresting him?

I... don't really know, honestly. A lot of things happened the last time I saw him. But he saved my life, and... I don't know, maybe I came around to seeing his point of view a little.

There's nothing wrong with changing your mind after seeing another perspective. Not a lot of people could. They like digging their heels in, even if their opinion is skewed. Maybe you'll get another chance here to let him know?

Hell, I'm the king of digging in my heels, but there gets to be a point where that's just not possible anymore.

And yeah, maybe. I think he'd like it here. But I don't think it's likely he'd let himself get pulled in, however the hell that happens.
