I probably ought to be questioning why so many of us ended up with a small windfall of cash from an unknown source, but that didn't stop me from buying this.

sword.jpg

A North German military rapier, circa 1630. It's beautifully detailed and worth every penny. A perfect way to start up my weapons collection here. Maybe the powers that be will be so kind as to give me the rest of my collection from home like they gave me my parakeet earlier in the month.

Well done, my friend. That is an excellent purchase.

Thank you. The shopkeeper hardly had to twist my arm to buy it. Did you end up getting any mysterious money?

I did, in fact. Though I'm afraid my purchases hardly rival yours.

Well, now I'm curious. What did you buy?

As I am attempting to learn to cook and was very recently mocked for my lack of equipment, I went and purchased just about every item ever needed in a kitchen.

Hey, that's pretty impressive. I admire your willingness to take on that challenge. Not gonna lie, I don't even really want to learn how to cook.

I admit much of it is sheer stubbornness. And the desire to no longer survive on microwavable dinners and sandwiches.

Commendable. I survive mostly on coffee and licorice.

Licorice? Really?

Hey licorice has come a long way in my time. My favorite is a strawberry licorice called Twizzlers.

I'll take your word on that.

I'll let you try some the next time I see you.
